Was thinking that ThAd was the lynch for today, but jmo started the day out like a complete moron. Need to recalibrate that read.

We have 8 left and 2 scum probably. I'm pretty sure scum is one of ThAd/gorck and one of Hoopla/jmo. Not sure I want to lynch from the potential mason pool again if we aren't having the mason claim (which I agree with. The mason should not claim today).

Question now is to see if gorck was bussing or if the ThAd lynch makes more sense. Will read into that later. Also, jmo's vote onto ThAd has 0 trajectory. Interesting.

I never voted RC. I just brought up that plan. Seeing if it made sence. If I wanted to lynch RC, I would have voted him.

Well, what I was hoping to happen last night didn't happen. It makes no sense for scum to

shoot radiant, as there isn't really a cost if he commutes (town doesn't gain an extra lynch), so you might as well attempt to shoot him in case he did save his investigation until tonight.

I was hoping by demonstrating this logic it would make me less likely to be scum in the event scum shot a VT instead, as that is by far the suboptimal play for scum on that night.

But that didn't happen, so, oh well. Scum was smart enough that night.

Alternatively, they no-killed because if they shoot wrong, they could be in a 5 v 2 with three confirmed (rather than two confirmed if they hit the mason or RC's target).

Getting 3 confirmed would be pretty decent for town.

I'm leaning town on rofl because he came in early on nhammen. If our mason is outside him, then I feel pretty good.

I was looking at it from the point of view that scum shooting want to kill someone and from that POV, I don't see how shooting at a guy who has a possible commute in his pocket makes sense.

Re-reading, I see what you are saying in shooting at RC being ++. It either has the benefit of missing the 5 v2 / 3 confirmed scenario while possibly killing off two confirms.

Could be scum: ThAd, Gorckat, 3 of {myself/jmo/hoopla/rofl}

Scum will kill RC, CooLDoG, or a claimed mason tonight. I guess theoretically we could also have an unclaimed doctor, but that seems unlikely.

I'm now wavering on whether the mason should claim. While it does prevent a counterclaim, it also guarantees their death. Which isn't actually terrible because we already have 2 other conftown, so killing the mason would be the same as shooting RC or CooLDoG.

Okay, when put that way I think the mason should claim. Also...

Thad's general reluctance on nhammen has me stumped.

He's experienced, so I doubt he'd outright say he preferred a Hoops over nhammen lynch while it was building steam if they were buddies and Hoops is town. If all three of them are scum, then it'd be kind of smart because there is 'no way' experienced scum would tie them all up in a lazy defense bundle like that.

I can read him as town hesitant to be wrong, however, which fits my earlier thought about no scum on DCL.

nhammen's late 'one of gorc/thad is scum' could be read as distancing (thad-scum) or set up at least one bad lynch (if thad is town).

From my experience as scum saying something like that it's almost always one scum/one town.

I'd be more inclined to consider Gorckat scum than ThAdmiral, however.
