In post 73, jsmith1234 wrote:And true, I guess we have to weigh the potential benefit of having a good experienced player alive who's town vs. the easier time we'll have reading newer players + avoiding an experienced mafia player misdirecting us. Perhaps we can reach a good balance of having some experienced players with more newer players alive.

So at the very least I'd prefer taking out one experienced player from the get go.
As one of those 'newer players' not really wanting to argue the point but
that
is exactly why I like having a confirmed. I have a tendency to think everything ever looks sketchy though but had you not been IC, I'd have really questionned (and wasted a shitton of time tunneling on it) why you might want to take out someone not based on your reads and/or their scumminess but because of their experience - something that might actually help us out more in the long run.

But yeah, I get your point on why an IC might not be as ideal as I was thinking.

I have played over 30 something games on this site, just not on here?

in any case, I don't think talking about how many games an account has played is indicative of that persons experience.

and Fuzzy, to answer your question I have played a game or two with you I believe

I am voting Jason because he is Jason, and I'm pretty sure he's scum

I also don't think speculation on trying to figure out if Killing the IC tonight is or isn't optimal is particularly useful to anything

@elleheathen: Heh yeah, scumhunting has never been my forte, which is why I tend to rely on setup mechanics and meta abuse, and prefer to foster environments that favor those types of tactics.

@SoundsofMusic: Agreed regarding your point on IC kill speculation.

Because i haven't had time and apparently no RL time means i deserve to be voted.

@Bubba: did you even look at my posting elsewhere?

Also i may or may not have 49 games still, if that's off my wiki it may be out of date by a long while.

This is the good old "he's the IC (newbie games IC not this IC) LYNCH HIM" argument outside of a newbie game, there is no reason i am any better then any of you, and if i am, how does the possiblity of lynching an experienced scum player outweigh that of lynching an experienced town player?

AND OF COURSE THE IC IS THE ONE TO DO THIS RETARDED SHIT

P-edit's:

Fuzzy how is that me town?

Bubba is more scummy for the trying to get out of his vote realness

Scum Jason would've flailed because he was at L-2 before he could post.

Hmm. I am curious, though, as to why our IC chose Jason over Myself. I'm just as experienced.

Realness? I questioned jsmith. I had a reason for that post thing.

I was looking at who would be easier to read due to playing less games. However after sifting through 100+ games for hours, you tend to forget what you are doing. That was my mistake.

Possibly. It doesn't matter much, I was just curious.

Pro-Tip: Practice makes perfect. Experience matters.

Although I've heard Pro poker players don't like playing amateurs because they are so unpredictable. Same case? Meh I don't think so. As you pay Mafia you learn what people do and don't do as a alignment.

Yes, but it's not how much you play, it's how much you take in as you play. I've had newbies completely throw me for a loop.

That's pretty valid actually. You can play and not take anything in and learn nothing, observe nothing, but if you actually play and observe you might turn out to be good.
