The format seems very slow, and initially without having played it at all, to me blue looks like the strongest color by a fair margin. And black looks quite bad. Need to play a bit before I can ever be sure though.
It has the potential to be very ROE-ey, I think. Which would be sweet. ROE was sweet. It also has the ability to be very bomb driven and swingy, which would suck.
I don't know how you can say how good its going to be without playing it.
I meant the standard enviroment looks pretty deep and different. There aren't that many "well you HAVE to play this card" inclusions to create an entire deck, and you can't just replace rotating cards with new ones and keep a deck (besides mono R prob)
Fate is absurdly beautiful. 運命に弄ばれる
"Fate you keep alternating between narratives of doing it for fun and doing it for the sake of winning"
I really like the scry lands. They're not bonkers or anything but when you're going to need dual fixing, they're just really useful guildgates. Scry is so much fun, I'm glad it's back. Also, this deck is insanely good with the hand destruction it has, and then if anything gets through, you just Doom Blade or Ultimate Price or Hero's Downfall it. Erebos is pretty good here, especially in mirror-ish matches. The "opponents can't gain life" effect has been extremely relevant, although I've never gotten Erebos online as an actual creature, I'm always at like four devotion.
I thought red would be the strongest color. It has tons of removal/damage, early game bombs, and late game bombs. It has everything. Black also looks pretty strong.

I'm pretty sure chamber (as he usually is) was talking about limited, so it wasn't clear that you were talking about the standard environment.

The strength of a color in a format has very little to do with the bombs, as every color has cards that will win the game on their own, and because you are not likely to see then in your given limited deck. What determines the strength of colors in limited is the relative strength of commons and to a slightly lesser extent, uncommons, since these are the cards draft and sealed decks can count on having 90% of the time.
Blue isn't better than green in m14 because Jace is better than primeval bounty. It is better than green because like 5 of the 10 best commons in the set are blue, and probably 5 of the top uncommons as well.

I'm willing to admit that I'm not entirely sure without playing, ever. But black looked like by far the worst color to me. probably something like blue>>white>green>red>>black. But I'm way less certain on the middle colors. Black does have what I think is the best common though, so there is that.
I was thinking about it more, and the 3 mana 2/2 flier with bestow for 5 in blue is probably less of a bomb common than I was thinking. That enchantment removal is likely main deckable, and that there is an instant in both white and green at common to deal with enchantments, likely means that you can get blown out if you aren't careful. Still obviously a good card though.
Still not taking action against Mono-U control, I see.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

I expect a lot of Delver v B/x control v Affinity in the near future. Affinity's probably better than Stompy now because getting out of Spinning Darkness/Disfigure range is key.
At Pauper World Headquarters:
"Mono-U Delver is dominating the format! It has amazing matchups against everything! What shall we do?"
"Ban Infect, Storm, and Cloudpost! That should resolve the issue."
