Piranha Pedro ~ Game Over

Simple game which involves everyone secretly selecting a direction and speed for Pedro to move, and then hoping you aren't the one to make him die.

All players are given a set of identical 12 cards that are the four directions (North, South, East, West) each with a one, two, or three steps. Everyone will pick a card first, then proceeding in turn order Pedro will walk the given directions. For every open water space Pedro steps into, the current player will have to place a stone to keep him alive. If that player is out of stones, Pedro drowns and they must take a piranha as penalty. Two piranhas and you are out of the game.

Also, if you run Pedro off of the map, or into a piranha on the board, he dies and, again, that player must take a piranha.

You start with four stones for the first turn. After a round you will get stones back for the next turn according to which cards you saved. For every one movement card you didn't use, you will get a stone. For every two move-two cards, you will get a stone. No stones awarded for leftover move-threes.

I need at least four players, but will take up to six if there is enough interest. Gameplay should be fast with a couple moves a week, at least. Please do not sign up unless you can keep up.

Pedro is the 'P'. The 'O's make up the island Pedro is sitting on. He can safely walk on it without using rocks. The various symbols in the water are the piranhas.

Everyone needs to send in which card they want to play.

Send in direction and number of moves (e.g. North 1, East2, or even W3, if you would like). Remember that you can only use each card once, and what cards you have left after someone dies determines how many rocks you will have next round.

Then I will do the movements starting with bird1111's card and so on. Keep in mind, you will have to take into account what cards the players before you will play to minimize your use of rocks.

Next turn bigAl will start Pedro's movement with bird1111 going last.

Just wanted to check that this was correct - one-move and two-move cards are both worth 1 stone?

Move ones are worth one stone.

Move twos are worth .5 stones. So, you need to save

TWO

move two cards to get a stone. If you only have one move two left, you will not get a stone for it.

One other thing that I might've not made clear to some of you about the stones:

Next round you will only have stones according to what cards you save. Any unused stones from this round are lost. The maximum stones you can have for next round is six (four from all of your move ones, and two for saving all four move twos).
