You can get in the gay bar being underage though... they just put big black Xs on your hand so you can't get drinks.

recall an $80 tab. But... I did buy a ton of people drinks and shots so yeah. I could see us going to the Borough beforehand though.

the drinks were pricy for how weak they were, iirc. especially compared to the Borough. also forgot about the Xs, so woo-hoo now no one has an excuse.

don't worry, Poro. if you're interested it's not too hard to learn. we've taught a few newbies at previous meets. and besides, we'll probably have enough people that already play to start an event even if no one else is interested. (Fatewen, Reck+Brock, me, Gamma, kdowns, Glork if necessary, Shea if he's still coming, Hindu when he inevitably shows up anyway...)

definitely wouldn't mind going to a Standard night with the other MtG players for sure though (and/or house-draft or LGS sanctioned draft).

UT & I were just talking and realized how badly we want to have a pig pickin' while everyone's here... so before I start looking into pricing on this, would anyone want to do that?

@Poro: Last year, we had a draft and got Fate/Nuwen interested and they played their first games of magic, now they're playing all the time.

@Pie: Yeah, the drinks were weak and overpriced, that's just a bar (and also why I usually get beer or pretty strong cocktails at bars)

This would actually be a deciding factor in helping me convince myself to make it out for another Reckoning. Not even kidding...this is an EPIC idea.

Also, regular NC BBQ sucks so this would be a refreshing culinary change for the trip.
