Not buying that the bonus effect of a card would be so unrelated to the initial use. Having used featured suit cards twice this game, they tend to amplify the cards' original effects. I'd expect binoculars to let the Watcher see what the visitors do or something like that, not take a shot at someone, especially not someone who apparently wasn't seen.

The day's agenda began with a recap of last night's events. PeregrineV had never liked those discussions much, and he liked it even less today. Luckily, he was standing some ways away from the first person to recount whereabouts during the night, so he had some time to go over his story. He wiped his palms on his jeans. Ah, if only they did not do this so early in the morning! He would have been able to better enjoy his coffee. Busy in his thoughts, he forgot that he had a story to tell, and, when his turn came, the best he could muster was a "Huh?" and a yawn. Where was he last night? No, he didn't remember... It must have been ten? Ten, when he was downing his fifth jug, and that was the last thing he could recall. For good measure, PeregrineV put his arm up to his head to signify a headache. He wiped his other hand on his jeans again. That last action had not gone amiss. The faces of the mob changed -- and by now, it was quite apparently a mob -- and PeregrineV could only see bloodlust in their eyes. He ran for the door, but, before he could reach it, he was overtaken and dragged down into the cellar, where they had kept some rope ready. For once, PeregrineV wished he had told the truth about the drinking.

Sorry for the delay in opening the game.

Most mornings, the town heard the rooster's call to rise, and that was how the people began their day. This morning, however, was not like most mornings, for the first thing they heard was a blood-curdling cry from the fisherfolk who caught a body in one of their fishing nets. A crowd gathered at the pier to watch them pry JacobSavage from the pile of fish and rope. Apparently, JacobSavage had gone wandering into the river in the middle of the night. Given recent events, however, no one doubted that this death was suspicious.
