Rules:

General:

1. Obey all site rules, found here. Do not break them. Do not pretend to break them. Do not think about pretending to break them.
2. If the unthinkable happens and I make a mistake please point it out.
3. If you have some minor complaint with how I am doing things, e.g. the order of playernames in votecounts is strange, please voice your complaint, I have never modded before and there are some things I didn't think mattered. I might say "No this is how I do things" or I might change things.
4. No personal attacks, etc.
5. I reserve the right to change the rules whenever I want. I can't see myself doing that though.
6. If you have a question/want to point out a mistake/whatever, use either
@Mod
or
@Who
. Preferably @Mod. I will not respond to it if it isn't in bold.
7. Questions can also be PMed.
Voting and stuff:

1. I will attempt to post an updated votecount once per real-life day and once per page. You are also free to request a votecount at any time.

3. You can also vote for a no lynch by using VOTE: No lynch
4. Any lynch (Or no lynch by vote rather than deadline) requires a majority.
5. If a majority has not been reached by the deadline, no lynch will take place.
Deadlines and Activity

1. Prods will be issued after 48 hours without a post unless you are V/LA. Failing to respond to a prod within 24 hours will result in replacement. Because
2. Because it seems to be a common thing to do, the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) will count as 24 hours total in terms of prods.
3. Days last 2 weeks, or 14 real-life days.
4. Nights do not exist in this setup.
5. Day one will begin 2 days after I receive everyone's confirmation.
6. I will write in color

Setup info:
8 Town Lovers
4 Polygamists.
Each town lover has a town lover, all of the mafia is in one large lover group.
The game is nightless.
Every lover pair/polygamist group can privately talk pregame, no one gets daytalk/night-talk

Spoiler: Role PMs:
Mafia:
Greetings Who, you are a
Polygamist
!
You like foursomes and don't care what those townies say about you.
You are a member of the mafia, and a lover with XXX, YYY, and ZZZ. If one of you is lynched, all of you will die. The four of you may talk here prior to the beginning of Day 1.
You win if two townspeople are lynched before any of you are

The game thread is here.
Town:
Greetings Who, you are a
Townie
and a lover with XXX.
If (s)he dies, you will as well. The two of you may talk here prior to the beginning of Day 1.
You are bitterly opposed to those radical youngsters engaging in foursomes and want to see them lynched.
You win if a mafia member is lynched

All was well in the town of mafiaville, there were no murdering mafia, ravaging werewolves, or stalking serial killers anywhere to be found. The town did however, still have a problem. A problem far far worse than any of those other things: Polygamists.

The town of mafiaville was in agreement that polygamy was awful and that all polyhamists should be hung. Unfortunately however, there were 4 people who disagreed, and thought that polygamy was fine and actually rather fun. The town of mafiaville did not know who these immoral humans were, but they were going to find out. They would hang everyone in the town if they had to, but they would find the polygamists.

Neonizer is being replaced.

So Skull and I finally slept together...

...it was fucking awesome.

And neither of us thinks there is any reason not to claim our pairs.

Quiver in fear, all ye polygamists.

Hi

I'll be signing my posts with "~Bo" Jmo can sign however he wants, I guess.

I also think we should reveal partners, but I wanna see what Jmo thinks first.

Has anyone else played Polygamist before? I've played True Love but this setup is quite different from that. Any experience as far as strategies go?

I think claims should come a little later, when we all have a little more information on everyone's slots. Claiming right now doesn't not give us any information at all. I think we should just do the classic RVS at the beginning of the day phase.

VOTE: JKLM--for being the first player on the player list.

I agree with baldeagle. Early claims will help scum more. See Open 243 where scum started claiming on page 2 instead of getting agreement first. Rather like Desperado has done.

And how does early claiming lover pairs help scum?

We're all going to figure out who everyone's lovers are. Why not get that out of the way?

I'm lazy, tell me why the situation in that game has anything to do with scum's actual victory. Because this seems like bullshit otherwise.

Well, if two scumreads turn out to be a "lover pair", then they are probably scum.

Actually, let me explain that a little bit more.

If two people are scummy to you and you think they are scum. But if they both turn out to be a "lover pair", then it's almost guaranteed that they are scum.

One scummy player in a lover pair could also mean scum. Its easier for scum to manipulate wagons when there's less information, so its completely reasonable that town would want to out their partners. I certainly prefer more information.

Part two was directed towards Lark.

If scum know who the pairs are it makes it easier for them to get rid of stronger players by going for the weaker half of the pair.

@Baldie: Define "turn out" to be a lover pair" because I'm pretty sure I can't follow your logic.

If town knows who the pairs are, its easier for them to read people due to the play of their partner. Thats the nature of this setup.

Lark, what's your read on me?

He's making sense. If you find two people scummy and you find out they are lovers, that should doubly mean that they are scum according to his logic.

That theory has holes, though.

So apparently I wasn't exactly following his logic. The way you put it made more sense.

But the chances of that happening are too slim IMO compared to info we can gather from the start.

Screw this, I have seniority over Jmo. I seriously can't see why we shouldn't claim at this point.

RedCoyote is my lover.
