I kind of think that Ninjask is better than Shedinja. Even with getting two Pokemon for one, I don't actually think Nincada was the absolute best choice that round. I actually had him fifth.

Shedinja can only be attacked by five energy types. If your team does not have any of the five, you're screwed.

And seriously, if someone builds a team without a fire attack, they're going to get beaten by Ferrothorn far more often than they'll get beaten by Shedinja.

True, yes, but it's still gonna be difficult, especially at early game. Not everyone gets Toxic that early on.

Challenge Results

First of all, for further elaboration, Acedia is Latin for sloth, the deadly sin indicating laziness or apathy. This challenge was designed to test everyone's motivations, and how much everyone valued getting a good Pokémon over risking elimination. Anyone too hesitant to take risks or too careless about their own safety would be punished, and that's what happened today.

Spoiler: Placings

1st place is Orcinus, who receives his 1st choice, an Abra. He will be captain of the Red Team.

2nd place is Axxle, who receives his 2nd choice, a Shroomish. He will be captain of the Blue Team.

3rd place is kdowns, who receives his 2nd choice, a Taillow.

4th place is Mist, who receives her 1st choice, a Bellsprout.

5th place is KingdomAces, who receives his 3rd choice, a Zubat.

6th place is D3f3nd3r, who receives his 1st choice, a Nincada.

7th place is Shiidaji, who receives her 2nd choice, an Ekans.

8th place is TheBadOne, who receives his 3rd choice, a Pichu.

9th place is Candillan, who receives his 3rd choice, a Caterpie.

10th place is PrivateI, who receives his 2nd choice, a Slakoth.

11th place is JasonWazza, who receives his 5th choice, a Hoothoot.

12th place is JJ, who receives his 8th choice, a Sewaddle. (Side note: Leavanny is in my top 5 favorite Pokémon omg)

13th place is BP, who receives his 3rd choice, a Budew.

14th place is Yiley, who receives his 8th choice, a Wurmple.

15th place is Xalxe, who receives his 1st choice, a Sunkern.

16th place is DeathNote, who receives his 7th choice, a Burmy.

17th place is Ani, who receives his 6th choice, a Scatterbug.

18th place is Lord Mhork, who receives his 8th choice, a Kricketot.

19th place is cxinlee, receiving his 11th choice, a Surskit, while TierShift is last, receiving his 8th choice, a Hoppip.

Cxinlee and TierShift have 96 hours to carry out an elimination battle, with all Pokémon at Level 8.

Also, Yiley must select an evolution for Wurmple to evolve into. Azurill, Pichu, and Caterpie have also evolved.

Round 3 will be posted tonight.

Yes, I did have Zubat above Nincada.

Aside from that, why the heck was Hoppip the last Pokemon chosen? Jumpluff is actually fairly good. I'm not going to say the set here because I don't want to affect the upcoming battle, but I will say that it was tenth priority for me, above Ekans and Pichu.

ok. im going to run a game within a game. this is very simple: betting on elim challenges!

each player starts with 100 points. you can bid any amount of points on either of the battlers. when the battler you bet on wins, you split all the money in the pot with the other winners. losers get nothing.

anybody can play. to start, just PM me with your bet. even eliminated contestants and the people who are battling!
