beeboy - Everyone thought this game was made to troll pie but it was really made to troll pisskop. Almost50 pisskop: Overall, that's a townie slot. Don't ask for specifics because with PK everything can be interpreted either way. It's probably WHEN he says/does things that matter, so it's more of a matter of conception rather than solid reasoning.
-Follow the Boilerplate Mafiascum Game Rules unless contradicted below.
-I only respond to bolded text. If I think something is addressed to me, but it isn't bolded, I'll passive-aggressively call the writer a fool by quoting this rule.
-Players are always informed when the setup features insane/bastard/misleading roles.
-Don't lie about serious things in your real life to justify in-game behavior.
-My color is
hot pink
. You may use it occasionally.
-Players will be prodded after 48 hours of inactivity and will be replaced if they remain silent in the 48 hours after the prod. They'll also be replaced if they require more than three prods.
Prods on day 1 count for two.
-Days last two weeks, nights last 48 hours.
-Don't post when you're dead.
Just out of curiosity, why the policy of no hydras? Not that I was planning on using one, but I'm just curious as to the rationale of a mod not wanting them.

In my case? Peer pressure. (As typified by this thread, among several others.)
There's a large number of players who really dislike hydras. Running a game with any hydra in it means that either these players don't sign up at all or that they do sign up only to spend large parts of the game loudly whinging about how awful hydras are. Since banning hydras shouldn't stop anyone from playing if they really want to, it just feels like the easiest/simplest way to avoid the issue.
I quite like hydras myself, as it happens -- although my take on an "ideal" hydra seems to be the opposite of what people currently find acceptable (most people seem to think hydra should be forced to sign all their posts individually, for instance: I'd rather hydra didn't sign their posts at all and did their best to play as a single unified player). But I know from experience that they can be a bit of a pain to mod, and I won't miss them much.
(If I thought that lots of people were avoiding the game because they wanted to hydra, then I guess I'd have more of a dilemma. I don't believe that that's the case though.)

I have played in a couple hydras myself and enjoyed them, and also enjoy playing with other hydra players, as it adds an interesting mix to the game.
I suppose people who rely overly on meta (which IMO feels like an *almost* cheating way to play if that's how you base everything) would be thrown off by hydras but meh.
