Really? I guess I'm still nostalgic for when a show called Community was about Community College. This is my second to last favorite season yet.

For me, this season is probably on par with season one (maybe a hair below it).

Well, it's pretty much the same as previous seasons, except none of the episodes focused heavily on any class like the first few seasons. But it's still funny and it doesn't take away from the show.

p-edit: For me it's around a season 3. Give me more payday rap caliber scenes and I'll bump it up to season 2, maybe 1.

i don't know that i can differentiate that much between 1,2,3 and 5. All had episodes that I thought were amazing. 3 was very up and down, a fair number of pretty mediocre episodes but a fair number of episodes I thought were the best of the series. If I were judging each season by their top 5 or so episodes, 3 might be tops.

I do it by consistency, aka how many episodes would I skip or tune out if I was watching the season again. 1 took awhile to get off its feet, 3 had quite a few stinkers, but 2 was pretty perfect.

I feel that so far 5 is better than 1, the first season took a while to hit it's stride, and maybe I'm nuts but so far I love everything in 5, if it keeps up like this it'll pass 2.

Yeah I couldn't stop laughing after the rap. Had to pause the episode.

I also think they're handling Troy's departure pretty well with some excellent forward development for Annie and Abed.

Yes. Except for maybe Aerodynamics of Gender which I felt was a really strong Pierce episode.

This past episode has the perfect amount of Chang.

Toning down the intensity of the character after Changnesia has really helped. He's still an idiot, and still destructive, but he's not nearly as intense. The "bear down" gag is a perfect example.

Wouldn't bet on it his show "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" is about to start. That's going to draw a LOT of his manpower. It will also be hilarious!
