Rules
Shamelessly stolen from several amazing mods.
All rules listed in the Boilerplate Mafiascum Game Rules page apply to this game except where contradicted in the additional rules below, in which case the following rules will take precedence:
Game-play:
Blue
is reserved for the moderator. All other formatting is fair game with the provision that you do not impersonate me.
Flavor is for entertainment purposes only and has no significance in the game. This applies to flavor names, role flavor, VC flavor, flip flavor, etc. All flavor.
If it looks like you're voting, it will be counted. You may UNVOTE: before changing your vote, but it is not necessary. If you wish to remove your vote entirely, you must UNVOTE: . You may also vote not to lynch anyone by voting for a No Lynch, like this VOTE: No Lynch or VOTE: NL.
Lynches occur through simple majority (50% of living players + 1, rounded down). A No Lynch can be reached by a straight 50% vote, rounded up. If no majority is reached at deadline, the Day will end without a lynch. Once majority is reached, no further votes or unvotes will count.
All players, including the lynched player, are allowed to talk in twilight phase until I post the death scene. Day ends when the moderator locks the thread.
Dead players may make one "Bah!" post that does NOT contain any game information. If you think it might, leave it out. Things like, "Go town!" or "Bah!" are acceptable. I reserve the right to edit, cut, or outright delete your bah post if I feel it's too much.
Player Conduct:
YOU ARE REQUIRED TO READ THESE RULES. Please do so.
Players who have not opened their role PM within 24 hours will be automatically replaced.
Prods will be issued to players if they have not posted within a 48-hour period. Players who have been prodded have 48 hours to make a post in the game thread before a replacement is sought. If the prod PM is not opened within 24 hours, I will seek a replacement sooner. Players requiring a second prod have 24 hours to post.
There is no third prod;
players requiring a third prod will be replaced immediately. This game is a commitment, and I expect you to honor it the best you can, please. If you've read these rules, please post with your confirmation how long a player has to post after being prodded a second time.
You are responsible for notifying me of any V/LA status BEFORE you are prodded. You may do so by PM or by bolding it in the game thread. I do not check the V/LA threads, nor your profiles, for V/LA dates. Please just let me know.
Don't be a dick. Seriously. I'm not a babysitter so I will not scold you about your behavior, but if another player complains about you, I'll be forced to take action. Don't do that to me. <3
A note on force-replacement/modkills: I've never made a modkill, and I intend to keep it that way. I'll only force-replace under extreme circumstances or if a player has completely flaked. However, please do not push the envelope.
Deadlines and Night Actions:
Days will have a deadline of two weeks, and Nights will last 48 hours. Deadline extensions will be granted only in extreme circumstances. Not being able to make up your mind is not an extreme circumstance.
If I do not receive your action by deadline, the action is forfeited. You may submit ahead of time. You can also make as many changes as necessary, and at deadline I will take the last action you submitted. Actions may be submitted via PM or bolded in a QuickTopic, if you have one.
All my deadlines end at 19:00 EST because that's when I'm almost always guaranteed to be free. However, deadlines will never be shorter than 2 week days/2 day nights, and never longer than +24 hours. Unless I forget. In that case, feel free to yell at me.

Also, a couple people haven't opened role PMs yet, so if they don't do that by the end of the night, I will see about replacing them before the game begins.
Edit: I have at least one replacement on stand-by.

My wife deserves vengance. Doesn't make a difference whether I know about it. Just becuase there are things I don't remember doesn't make my actions meaningless. The world doesn't just disappear when you close your eyes, does it?

I'm at work and flavor is at home. I don't believe in posting a flip without flavor in a "theme" (lol) game. So that will happen when I get home in an hour. Sorry for the delay, but tis twilight and you may continue to post until I lock it for night.

You can just feel the details. The bits and pieces you never bothered to put into words. And you can feel these extreme moments... even if you don't want to. You put these together, and you get the feel of a person. Enough to know how much you miss them... and how much you hate the person who took them away.

When I looked into his eyes I thought I saw recognition. Now I know. You fake it. If you think you're supposed to recognize somebody you, you just pretend. You bluff it to get a pat on the head from the doctors. You bluff it to seem less like a freak.

Now is the time for you to share your thoughts and ideas of how the game went, what you liked, what you didn't like, and any advice or praise you might have for your teammates and opponents. I'm also appreciative of any criticism regarding the modding, flavor, design, etc that you feel I could improve on as a mod.

The Flavor:
The flavor was based on the movie Memento, which, if you haven't seen it yet, you should. I love this movie - it's awesome. The movie was designed as a puzzle of sorts, starting with the end of the story and going backwards scene by scene. Each scene began with the beginning of the previous scene. The days going in reverse was simply a tribute to this design and had no bearing on the mechanics of the game at all. If you'd decided to no lynch/no kill, it would have gone to Day 0, and so on, though I didn't think it would go past that (and I was right ).
As far as the roles and flavor names, roles were randomized first, and then the flavor names were randomized. The fact that the jailkeeper was Leonard Shelby, Sammy Jankis was the IC, and Catherine Shelby died first was all an astronomically awesome coincidence.
Also... I didn't re-watch the movie until AFTER the game had started, or I would have made the Waiter (toolenduso) Jimmy Grantz instead.
The Game:
I want to thank all of you for participating and making this an enjoyable experience. I had a lot of fun modding this game and watching people figure things out. You should post more though. If the mod goes more than 2 days without posting because the page already has a VC on it, there's a problem. That's all! Love you!

tool: I would say the best course of action when you see a buddy going down without a hope of survival is bus bus bus bus. Any hesitation, any attempts to save them will kill you by association when they flip.
