Holy SHIT do I hate lottery ads. There's one going on right now, and they act like it's a big charity for education, rather than a bloodsucking industry fleecing people who are bad at math.
or maybe people have a different value judgement than you do. And find the 5 bucks a week is worth dreaming about making it big.

In which case it's not a scam it's just selling people false hope.
Who said that?
Chamber. It's all a conspiracy.
Or is it?
Meh, my paper has been out with reviewers. I have a meeting in Salzburg in two weeks and I've been waiting for the reviewer comments before booking my flight because I will have to do some experiments in Munich again. Plan was to do experiments after the meeting while I was in Europe. Last night I gave up waiting and ate a $1,500 flight (partially reimbursed). Of course this afternoon the reviewer comments come in. At least they were fairly positive. So only a little more pain before this paper goes out.
8 blocks today. Only getting that "holy shit I'm falling" feeling when my wheels catch the gaps between the sidewalk slabs. Going uphill is nice because I can really push hard on my stride without going too fast and having to stop because I'm freaked out.

Something that happened in my math class once:
Teacher: "...and thus, only idiots play lotteries."
*guy from administration walks in*
Administrator: "Hey you're participating in [charity event] right? Here's some lottery tickets you're supposed to sell."
*teacher turns to class*
*opens mouth*
*closes mouth*
*opens mouth again*
Teacher: "So... Does anyone want to buy lottery tickets? You can win some great prizes!"

But
they
deserve it.
I mean, seriously people? Learn to do math.
This has been the most priviledged statement I have read today. Given I haven't been up very long, but you should feel bad.
Taking a vacation of sorts up to Milwaukee for a few days and apparently there are 10 public telivision stations here. That's pretty insane if you ask me.

Cooldog represents what society should be crafted from. He is the ultimate expression of all that is great and wonderful.
Everybody else here is an insufferable social justice warrior.
