This is not a town response. "I have good news and bad news". I said that more or less as scum when I fakeclaimed. Since that time whenever I have had results I always share them as "Last night I investigated...etc."

Town are much more serious and straightforward than you were. You dont state Im scum or that Im the king of whatsits. You imply it. Town wouldnt do that.

1)No one has the ring and it was with someone who died.
2) Scum has the ring and didnt want to say anything in case Proto was lying. Scum want the ring I believe so why would they admit to having it?
3) Town has the ring but didnt admit just in case Proto was scum playing a trick and trying to get the ring.
