No sympathizer just means we play the game with an extra "you are not a cylon" card instead of the sympathizer card?

It's been a while since I've played just base by itself, so it really doesn't matter to me.

I will take Tom Zarek
and spend all my time trying to win the presidency
and do helpful things.

It also starts the resources a little lower and lets revealed Cylons draw three skills at the start of their turn rather than two, to balance things out.

I vote this. I think it's just less fun to be the sympathizer anyway.

I was deciding between cheif and zarek and I went for the player that I had played less for funzies.

Good thing you moved out of the armory so you can't be brigged. Or is it?

Probably better to have Nexus and ChannelDelibird put in cards if they can since their turns are coming up, depending on what Nexus has of course.

I can help a little bit as well.

Alternatively, since I make administration almost impossible to fail, if we want to take the morale hit instead it'll be easy to return the presidency to President Roslin on my turn (or even on CDB's turn with executive order and I can use a skill card in addition.)

But I'm not sure what would be better at this point so I'll leave the decision up to you, Admiral.

I was going to say XO Poro to guard the civies but I don't think there's a way for them to attack them before his turn and I think your idea is much better.

inb4 cylon reveal on XO, (although I suppose it's a bit early).

I'm likely going to use a Consolidate Power to draw some blue cards.

I have an XO (so woo me with your plans if you want it) and a Launch Scout as well, but I'm leaning towards the CP.

Even if my crisis moves the raiders you can just move to protect the civvies on your turn so unless you have a really good card from your hand you want to play I think I'm probably just going to get cards.

OP says you have 3 but I keep forgetting you can just use the president card.

I don't know why but whenever I play Laura Roslin (one of my favs to play) I always have a hard-on for drawing a billion quorum cards.

Oh well, I'm just going to:

Play: Consolidate Power - Action: Draw 2 Skill Cards of any type(s). They may come from outside your skill set. Strength 2

to grab 2 Engineering cards

XO pilots

Launch Scouts for jump track

Use FTL (you can't do this now and wouldn't want to anyway but we may want to use this soon).

All of those are tasty, but the only one you plausibly could do is XO a pilot (which is the best use of your time anyway).

Discard this:

Consolidate Power - Action:
Draw 2 Skill Cards of any type(s). They may come from outside your skill set. Strength 1

to
move to Armory.

Use:

Executive Order - Action:
Choose any other player. He may move his character and then take 1 action OR not move and take 2 actions. (Movement abilities may not be used.) A limit of 1 "Executive Order" card may be used per turn. Strength 1

on Admiral Adama.

Well at least we get a food either way (unless we fail). I almost want to skip the check because I'd love to not have the option to lose 5 pop this turn. I think the check is doable, but losing 2-3 cards each to win the check might be worse than 1 card each, and losing those cards and still failing would be sad.

Thoughts?

PLEAD YOUR CASE, MORTAL

Um...I mean...

I don't think you were a cylon before. But...you likely are now. I'll take any opinions but I might make it harder or just leave it alone.

Well in that case...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9ZGN_eAEbA

Friends! You know what to do. Get those incriminating pictures and plant them in Boomer's locker! Start spreading rumors about how she used a computer once and is therefore clearly too close with the enemy! Wage war on the knee caps of those who know her well enough to testify she's a good person! Mwa haha the Zarek empire shall rise and eliminate the cylon threat for good!

I would like to increase the difficulty of getting out of the brig by 2.

(inb4 the cylons are CDB and nexus and I just got manipulated into keeping a human in the brig)

In the event that you are not a cylon and Boomey is not a cylon, grabbing quorom cards to have the get out of jail free card might be helpful.

In the event that you are not a cylon and have the insta brig card, you probably shouldn't brig someone but you could.

In the event that you are not a cylon it may also help to grab some cardage since I'm another green/yellow fountain and I'm pretty spent until my turn rolls around.

In the event you are a cylon die suck die.

If you XO someone it's possible they'll pop out. Or do whatever nasty thing they can and then pop out. Like I really wish I were a Cylon so I could be like "NOW YOU ALL SHALL EAT PEOPLE HAHAHAHHAAHHA" and then do some other nasty. Also you can XO me I'm not a Cylon but I can't scout so I'd just draw cards or something. Don't XO me.

This post was super helpful.

I think blue might also have been okay since we're low on blue.

Red was pretty much the only color that's like "look at me I'm a cylon I plan on dumping this in an awkward time."

Hmm.

2 cylons running around, but I don't think it's you and know it's not me...

I don't think we're going to make this check :/ so while I want to help I'm not sure if it's a good idea to do so. Then again if the cylons play a little dirty we've got a couple turns to hopefully catch them.

Put in one card

I suppose it depends on your cards to spare. As much as I'm not keen on losing a resource the dirty cylons aren't going to kill us through food if we're at the starting position in the sleeper face.

I'm likely consolidating power.

Other things I'm considering are taking over presidency (since I know I'm a goodie) or brigging someone (not sure who so I probably won't do this)

Those skill checks seem like they could be problematic. XO will not be happening.

I don't think Nexus is a cylon from that crisis, though there's nothing saying he has to try to sabotage the crisis.

I know it's not me.

I am wary of CDB buddying up (but the fight against evil is ever so lonely sometimes...)

I was going to discard cards anyway. I could have added a couple just to make it so I would discard 2 more cards. So I wanted to see what people put.

I don't recommend actually listening to that because it's country. It's about keeping things dramatic.

There are a lot of piloting cards played. Unless Poro and Gamma ONLY played piloting, then a cylon HAD to have played a piloting card, meaning there's likely a cylon in the set {Nexus, Gamma, Poroporo}.

The problem is: are there 2?

I'm going to say my friends are out of town and not touch this check.
