I'm actually a bit worried about our chances to actually get the all the crises done if we discard more skill cards

Nexus just using the president's power to draw/use one at a time won't trigger the character's discarding passive though if that would be worth it

OP says you have 3 but I keep forgetting you can just use the president card.

I don't know why but whenever I play Laura Roslin (one of my favs to play) I always have a hard-on for drawing a billion quorum cards.

Oh well, I'm just going to:

Surely the second one is the best idea? +1 population is nice but not really at the expense of Fuel/Food?

Yeah not particularly happy losing fuel. We aren't in desperate need of the population currently.

My one remaining card isn't all that but I often see at least one nuke left in reserve at the end of games and we've already lost some morale.

Raiders at 9 o'clock shoot at Apollo; they hit on a 5+, and will destroy a civ ship if the first shot hits:

Apollo is hit; I will now wait for Evasive Maneuvers, if desired. I shall also send Gamma the next crisis, so he can use his ability.

The above is also to be corrected; I misread Gamma's post and assumed he wanted to shoot at the Heavy Raider at 9 instead of the Raider at 3, so a Raider at 3 is destroyed, and only one shot is taken at Apollo. Since the first roll was a hit, Apollo will still need an Evasive Maneuvers to avoid getting shot.
