It is now time for our second Free for All. Players, please prepare yourselves.

Our second game is called Musical Chairs. Do not worry, you will not be required to sing today (though you are, of course, welcome to should the mood take you). You have been seated at one of twelve spots on the couches. Each of you has also secretly been assigned a number from 1-11 or an X.



This game is played in rounds. At the beginning of each round, I will inform you of the longest consecutive chain of numbers in order. For example, if I were to tell you that the longest streak extends from Travis to Phyllis, you would know that Travis, Phyllis, and anybody between them are all in order, with Travis having the lowest number. Streaks may travel clockwise or counter-clockwise around the circle.

Once this information has been provided, you will have 24 hours to switch seats with one other player. You may only switch seats once per round. You switch seats by posting, in bold in the thread,

. It is assumed that the other player accepts this swap unless their next post contains a refusal. In order to prevent sniping at the last minute, you may also post in-thread that you will not swap with a certain person, and you will not be able to swap with them that round (unless you retract it).

Once the round has ended, I will announce the new longest streak, and everyone’s numbers will increase, with 1 becoming the new 2, 2 becoming the new 3, and so on. 11 will become the new X and X will restart the count at 1.

The game will end when exactly 5 players are in consecutive order. When this happens, all 5 players in this chain will be winners and safe from the Death Match, and the player in the center of the chain will earn 7 Sapphires. The player who is currently X will face the Death Match against a player of their choice.

EDIT: I'm guessing the game only ends when there is exactly 1 chain of exactly 5 in a row.

If everyone agrees, we can vote on two players to go to the deathmatch, and then simply make two chains. Basically, here is the method:

- Step 1: Everyone votes on two people they would prefer to send to the deathmatch. The one with the most votes is chosen to go.
- Step 2: Everyone reveals their number.
- Step 3: A second player is chosen to go to the deathmatch. His number has to be either 1 or 6 steps away from the first chosen player's (in the algebraic sense).
- Step 4: We wait for the appropriate round, and move to form the 2 chains. This must not happen prematurely.
- Step 5: Each chain centre player gives 1 sapphire to each player in his chain, and another one to the winner of the deathmatch. The centres end up with 2 sapphires more, each, the winner of the deathmatch gets the sapphires of the loser, 2 from the centres and any that the deathmatch creates. (This bit is negotiable.)

What's to stop the voted player and the second chosen from stopping the chains?
