Vi was questioned. I was weighing in. Not a major issue at all, no, but in the first 3 pages it stood out as important to me. More important than anything going on with Cupcake/Nati/Mala.
The amount of speculation and outguessing the mod is nauseating thus far.How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder,
without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better,
and not the world about them?-

That was bugging me as well.
Last time I saw Matt play (sometime last year?), it was uberaggressiveabrasivediescumdie regardless of alignment, and now? It has thrown me for a loop. How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder,

Townish. Not trying to play games, not hindering, not playing with fear. Also the bus post rejoinder. Was obviously watching the thread and content to see what happens, which didn't strike me as particularly scummy. Ergo, townish vibes.

In post 222, Titus wrote:As for Sal I am suspecting
Sal...scum vanillaizer
Reinoe...town victim
Someone else... scum post restrictor
Sal's vanillaizing csn "remove" a PR bc his buddy just does not pr the same target.
If someone refuses the vanilla, scum assume they are a PR.
This us why Sal should not use his abilityunless someone volunteers.
So then what do you make of Salamence's insistence that he only plans to use his ability once? Wouldn't it become crystal-clear that Salamence is Scum is he Vanillaizes someone without their consent? He has to post the command in the thread, so it's not like he'd be able to do it without anyone noticing. If he uses is ability on anybody else without their consent, we lynch him. Simple as that. I think he realizes that. Regardless of whether there's a "Scum post restrictor" in the game, I don't see any Scum motivation behind Salamence's actions so far. What does Scum have to gain by Vanillaizing Reinoe? The only way it makes sense is if Salamence and Reinoe are both Scum together, but that's a bit of a stretch, don't you think?
In post 235, Salamence20 wrote:I'm trying to trademark "Sala's gambit" What do you think?
Sounds good. How about "A Gambit for Every Gambit"? Maybe that can be your custom title someday.
In post 236, Vi wrote:With all due respect, your posts really aren't helpful to anyone except yourself (if that). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Well, you're wrong, so I shall correct you. Not everyone is a fan of my style, but playing this way on Day 1 helps me get my bearings, interact with many players at once, initiate conversations, and create interactions that may not have happened without a little poking and prodding. When it's Day 6 and you're re-reading the thread to see what you missed the first time, you'll be thankful that I asked some seemingly pointless question on Day 1 that caused a player to say something noteworthy. I hardly think it's fair to say I'm not being helpful just because you aren't considering the long-term benefits of my posts.
"With all due respect," of course.
In post 263, Salamence20 wrote:Skull, I'm fairly confident there are two scum in 4 and Vi/Reinoe/NS. There may be a possible 2nd scum in my hood, and one that isn't.
That's all fine and dandy...but why is this post specifically directed at me?
In post 313, Malakittens wrote:Yeah, I'm sorry still not liking the fast lynch on 4burner even if he's appealing to me a bit. =\
He's really new to the site.
I fail to see how that's relevant. Can you elaborate on why 4burner being new means that he's not Scum?
In post 375, 4burner wrote:Humour me for a moment. When I flip town, what is your next move? Because the crowds will be after you for how vociferously you've come after me.
In post 389, 4burner wrote:If you are indeed town, your extreme focus on me is going to get you lynched next when I flip, which is 2 town down.
Why are you so certain that Notscience will be lynched when/if you die and flip Town? Is Town not allowed to be wrong?
In post 272, 4burner wrote:For what it's worth, I'm Vanilla Town, in a hood with Sala and some others.
In post 279, 4burner wrote:I am the King of Hearts, Vanilla Town, in our hood.
If you're in a Neighborhood, then shouldn't you be a "Neighbor" instead of a "Vanilla Townie"? I'm curious about your word choice here.
In post 445, Salamence20 wrote:But, lets say that mafia QT was open pregame. The scum Alice knows who the other alice's are. Now all the mafia know who the alices are. It's not that farfetched that mafia may know the Neighborhoods beforehand.
Erm, how do you know that there's a "Scum Alice"? All we know is that there are three Alices in the game. There's no guarantee that they aren't all the same alignment
Also, even if we assume that one of the Alices is Scum, how would that mean that Scum knows who the other two are? I don't follow your logic here at all.

I don't believe for a second that Reinoe is Town just because he has a post restriction, but since the deed has already been done, we might as well wait and see what happens.
Still trying to decide what I think about 4burner at the moment. Definitely want to chat with him a bit first.
Explain, plz.
What would you like me to explain -- the vote on you, my suspicion of Reinoe, or my wishy-washy opinion of 4burner?
In post 498, Prof Fridays wrote:Second, I’d like to know if Vanillizing someone in a neighborhood would remove them from said neighborhood. Might be worth asking FG, Salamence.
That's actually a pretty good point. Now that you mention it, I am also curious about this.
In post 498, Prof Fridays wrote:Fourth, Skullduggery asked about scum-Aronis vs. town-Aronis. If Aronis makes it to Day 3 without being lynched or vigged, then we should start questioning his townness, if you know what I mean, haha. But I’m not going to provide examples. That’s too much work. Why can’t you just take my word for it? And if you don’t believe me, then you can dig up the evidence yourself. A more hostile/offensive Aronis is more town-indicative. Some lurking will happen with him both ways. Again, this almost identical to Fortnight Aronis.
I spectated the second half of Fortnight, and Aronis doesn't look at all like the way he played there. Where has he demonstrated "hostile/offensive" tendencies in this game?
I just don't understand why you're so willing to decree that Aronis is Town when the reasons you're providing don't even make sense. And no, telling me to go look stuff up myself isn't the same as explaining your stance and quoting examples. If it's so obvious that he's Town, then you shouldn't have any trouble saying why you think so, right? I'd be more willing to take your word for it if you gave me a reason to do so.

That's actually a first for me....No matter how high the stakes, sooner or later you're just gonna have to go with your gut.
And maybe, just maybe, that'll take you right where you were supposed to be.

@Skull-
I was a little butthurt when exclaiming "Town will avenge me!" What I'm really getting at, is that when I flip town it won't look good on NS or Cupcakes for pushing my lynch so hard. But I think it's come full circle and now it's a case of "scum wouldn't dare push so hard". Which is wifom in itself, really.
As to the second, I am Vanilla Town. I'm sure there are other VT's in a Hood with the same role, but I wouldn't ask any who aren't already outed to come forward and second that. Sala, the only other one in my hood, is Roled and in the hood, so I'm not so sure he will be able to help, here.
P-Edit Mala sorry, what question?-
