Hey Claus~ I has signs all over that mountain since the beginning, but never did a thing about it :O I managed to get on the server today to start up some building!
OK, so the Jungle!! Sorry for not posting anything sooner, but it was a LONG tunnel to dig through the Nether, and I wanted to make sure everyone had a path to get to it first. In the Overworld the Jungle nether portal I have built are at cords
16937, -4970
. It is a long walk in the overworld to get there, but it is also a long walk in the nether to get there as well. The path
in the nether
to the Jungle starts at
-30, -11
and is right next to MME and My portal. Like I said it is long, 2700 blocks long! Takes about 7 to 10 minutes to run it. The path itself is safe, but as of right now is 2 blocks high and 1 block wide. I plan on expanding it eventually to 3x3 and adding a rail because lets be honest, walking that sucks haha. If anyone would like to help with the tunnel expansion or maybe help building another tunnel/path above in the "nicer" looking nether please let me know. In the end though the path is there for all to access the jungle so have fun. One last note: I also saw some Ocelots running through the brush if anyone is interested. Eventually I'll be bringing back two myself. =)
These are just mine, cuz I don't know what other people want to share.
This is how I started. Just enough walls to protect me at night, a hole in the ground for initial mining of resources, and a little farm.
The idea I had was to make a floating base above water. I wanted something with enough space to hold everything I wanted. This is the initial outline for the platform. It has a radius of 32.5 (counting the center block).
Then I added a power hub underneath, to hold my main power generation for machines (a Big Reactor):
Under that is the first observation deck, where I'm growing sugar cane.
Looking up from the next deck down.
I sectioned off the quadrants for different purposes. Top left is farms. Top right is tech and magic. Bottom left is displays (armor, hats, trophies, etc) and enchanting. And the bottom right will be storage and an airship dock.
As you can see in the last one, I started adding petals to the outer edge. They will go all the way around. The base will be called "The Lotus". I also finally capped off the water flow under the sugar cane. The next deck will be surrounded by a tree orchard, with many of the fruit trees from Pam's Harvestcraft.
Edit: Orchard deck complete.
And switched the old tree area over to a Pam's garden.

Didn't mean my post to sound like there was something wrong.
If it was modded, I've got a jungle right next to me so was going to save everyone the walk.
I'd like to remove the PE/Xbox info because neither of our servers are accessible from those platforms and I don't know why it's there. Also wanted to clean it up a bit. It's rather cluttered.
Does anyone object to me spoilering in the current whitelist/player usernames in the OP?
Otherwise, I will output a list to google docs weekly and distribute the link to the co-admins. I hate rebuilding these things/searching the thread for usernames, and if or when someone else takes over, I want to make it easy for them to pick it up without issue.
I was thinking the OP is fine as it is, didn't seem cluttered to me at all. But that's largely a matter of preference.
Putting the whitelist in the OP means that you have to edit it there, and it's harder to get edit authority to multiple people. Google docs might be a better approach because you can designate other users as editors more easily.
Another potential fix to both the OP and whitelist info is to use the wiki, if that fits in with the overall wiki rules. (I haven't looked at whether the wiki allows non-mafia related content)
I suppose I can always make a MS minecraft page. There are pages for various mishmash games and other stuff like the pitionary lists, so I don't see why this would be an issue. Good idea, Dave!
You're my friends now. We're having soft tacos later!
I think you should be fine using the wiki. In addition to the aforementioned randomness of user pages, I've used the wiki to create pages for MishMash Survivor games, and much Song Contest information is stored there. I don't think one page for MS's Minecraft community should hurt anything.
