Voided, it kinda depends on what your actually looking for in your mid laners.

Well, the only kind of mid laner I'm not looking for are assassins because I don't have the mechanical skill nor the hardware to play them well.

That hardly actually cuts down the list, as it basically leaves sustained and bursty mages (unless you consider bursty mages to be assassin's)

The ones i can possibly think of that may be worth considering are.

Syndra
Orianna
Ahri

Anyone has opinions about the new Cassio mid? I find her really lacking until like 15-20 Mins in

I consider one to be a subset of the other (though I'm not sure if assassins should be subsets of bursters or vice versa; I think it's the former), but the bottom line is I don't. Ziggs or Zyra, after all, are much different than, say, Zed.

Thankfully I do have pretty much all of those champions (sans Syndra, which I only have for the free rotation), so I guess I'll work on those.

She's still a pretty good assassin, though. The loss of her silence doesn't change that, just means that you have to expect some measure of resistance if you don't catch them off-guard.

Lulu. But I also said you can max Q if you want, it's really an "up to you" sort of thing, whichever feels best. I feel best and am most successful maxing E. :3

Both.
I can E-Auto the enemy at lvl 1, EQ at level 2, if I can get the opportunity and I know my adc isn't going to take damage.
Or I E myself, go into auto kinda like one would do with a Janna.
I do different things depending on the vibes the adc gives off but I usually start off aggressive.


I've posted this video before and it's from a year ago (I've improved a lot since then x-x), but here is an example of where I mostly just E my adc or E the enemy to get bush vision.

Having a stronger shield is good for early dragon contests as well. Keeps your team a bit safer.

The thing is though, some bursty mages, syndra for example function as somewhat of an assassin (press R to delete)

My personal belief for the difference being that an assassin has a gap close for the enemy back line (meaning they can go in from the front like an assassin) whereas a mage lacks this ability.

The ones i listed are more of the sustained mages (well except for ahri who is sort of an assassin i guess, she always felt more magey in her assassin capability's though.)

She's a serpentine Ryze who lacks the innate tankiness that he can build and also lacks actual worth if she can't hit Q/W (assuming you can't poison someone, you are actually fucking useless)

In fact i personally would say ryze is probably a better pick then cassio.

Sure he's weak against certain match ups.

The actual thing is, Ryze's late game is so much better than his early making his early game look weak.

When in fact it actually isn't.

Edit: In fact in fact Ryze's WEAK point is mid game, where other champs have gotten actual stats items while Ryze is sitting there building mana items and waiting for them to stack.

As an added note, i have never seen a Cassiopeia post rework actually go even in lane. (though that may be my elo talking.)

I don't think bubble (even on your own feet) gets you to lane faster because of cast time. Haven't actually timed it though.

Your E has no cast time.

Bubble isn't E. Someone asked when BUBBLING yourself/teammate is a good idea, and BROseidon said you could [BUBBLE YOURSELF] to get back to lane or roam faster, which I'm pretty sure isn't true.

I used to not really understand support Lulu, but then I switched to maxing Q last and E first, and now it's much easier. You can just autoattack them into oblivion while covering for your silly ADC.

Recently I've come to appreciate how much I like playing poke into Lucian, providing he doesn't have Blitz. Just stand to the side of the minions and autoattack him whenever he wants to try to poke your ADC with his Q.

Mana crystal if you can get away with it in your lane is right, but if you can't dorans shield or dorans ring are better.
