I am probably going to take the jump and get dragged into this world. I've been debating it for a while, and sort of like supporting, and my "pre-investment" into the game was grabbing Nami, Morganna, Soraka, Annie while they were on sale. So while you all at the top yell back and forth, what's the best way for me to get STARTED learning support?

(I have done plenty of watching and reading the lore, i'm just sort of ready to start getting my hands dirty. I'm probably gonna practice vs bots until i get mechanics down, jumping into ranked is stupid from the looks of it)

Things I do know:

My best friend is named "ward"
As a support last hitting is less important but i still need to get it down.
My minimap gets attention every half a second.

People keep saying on the boards that healers are OP in ascension. I guess even with the perma-reduction of healing to the buffed champ, keep them alive is huge.

I've found that skillshots that stun or root (nami Q, morg Q, etc) are pretty good since you can sneak in and get free kills on enemy units capturing relics.

No idea how accurate this is but...

I guess it comes down to a difference in how we see the game. I see doing that as the equivalent of posting your role PM in the thread out of spite for your team. You signed up to play a team game, and you follow your team, regardless if it means you have to play it out.

Baron's attack pattern is going from non random to an A-->B--->C pattern and a single brush in one of the lanes is moving 20ish units to make the map symmetrical as it was actually incorrectly placed. That's it afaik.

The lanes differ in their location from the main objectives. The dragon is between middle and bottom. The baron is between middle and top.

Traditionally you will see a ranged attacker and a support player in the bottom; a mage or assassin in the middle, a tankier character in the top, and a high mobility stunner in the jungle.

But if you're soul-linking with your ADC your ult is sort of throwing your main damage source as a freebie to the enemy, so you'd have to use it pretty much entirely as an escape? I mean don't get me wrong I think she'd be a fun champ to add to my pool of supports, but

What used to work and riot is now going back and fixing is that you'd go to a site and pay them a few real world dollars, and they'd use a BUNCH of robotic accounts to put you down as who referred them. Then those accounts would robotically get played to whatever level riot required to have the person who referred them to get Rot Points. Then the accounts would just go dead silent.

What never ceases to amuse me is when there will be a near kill in lane, my adc will be too weak to follow up, and i'll flash-Q or flash-W (as morgana) to secure first blood, then my ADC will bitch that i stole the kill. Like, first blood going to us and assist gold in your pocket is better than them going back to base and gaining nothing?
