To be fair, bots don't help you out at all, and anti-mage isn't exactly the kind to 1v5 the enemy team unless it's 50 minutes in the game and he has had free farm.

i just blinked around the place
jungled/farmed until my team won 4v5 somehow

it's that i know what my hero can do but i don't know what the enemy heros can do
most of the time i just get stunned out of nowhere and die somehow

i guess the word to describe it would be 'clunkier'? I guess
at least that's what the last hitting/movement/unit control is like

I haven't gotten that far in the game to compare game mechanics/meta to league yet

that's just because you're used to a different interface. league feels clunky to me. (well also there are turn rates in dota and longer casting times but that's relatively minor in comparison.)

tbh i just think that I'm not used to the semi-ranged aas that some heros have
and also the BAT of some heros are just so derpy compared to league

You deny yourself like you deny last hits. It's like execution in League. It's always better than giving a kill.

i learned that i could chunk half a hero's health bar with mirana w at level 1

for as long as i play dota im only going to play mirana

I try not to miss last-hits (though I usually miss around 1/4 of them)
I try to deny but I'm horrible at that
I don't buy wards

I usually go like 7-0 after lane phase because I'm a good deal better than my mmr (only 15ish games played, but I've played dota on tft)

i start double slippers, pot, tango, 2x clarity
rush PT, finish shield and aquila, then go for manta

Phase are usually better than treads on mirana, but it's debatable
And you should indeed carry tps as soon as you can afford them if there's a space cow on the enemy team.

How you can't manage to phase but can tread swap is pretty backwards lol

Here's my basic build for semi carries(of which potm is one). Boots>bracer>drum>phases>Yasha. Obviously this changes depending on the game and hero, but if you're a farming hero who's not pure farm(am sylla void etc) this build can pretty much never go wrong. PotM doesn't really need Aquilla, drums will give her more overall survivability while also helping damage and making her mana pool larger.

How would you build Mirana as a straight carry?

I'd recommend Crystal Maiden for new people

I would not recommend CM, she's fat and slow, and very delicate.

I recommend Skeleton King, or other tanky heroes such as axe.

When I started DotA I ran Abbadon while my friend ran CM
we had a nice run

(I mean, my opinion is always I'd play Dota over League, but that's because I know Dota's meta game and I've learned its complexities so that playing League where I have to grind just to play most of the heroes feels like a chore and a step back.)
