But an infinite loop that neither player can end results in a draw.
Modo does not know that as evidenced by the above video.
Yes. However, you are not required to end the loop if it would require hidden information(say, a card in your hand). The reason MTGO crashed is that LSV and his opponent both F6'd. I believe LSV even mentioned that he could break the loop if he wanted to, but the F6 party don't stop.
jdodge1019: hasjghsalghsakljghs is from vermont
jdodge1019: vermont is made of liberal freaks and cows
jdodge1019: he's not a liberal
jdodge1019: thus he is a cow
I don't plan on doing the GP/PTQ circuit anymore. It's just so expensive and unfulfilling and takes forever. I realized that at the last SCG I went to.
I might still do limited GPs, I guess, because I'm 1. Actually good at limited and 2. feel like my entry fee doesn't go completely to waste.
Otherwise, I think I'm content atm to be an FNM hero.

I prefer limited because of reason #2.
I like the fact they have the side events, which can include limited.
I feel like I could only play Modern and Limited for the rest of my Magic-playing life, and I would be perfectly happy. Standard doesn't interest me all that much, and Legacy is hilariously overly expensive for me (though I only need to buy Forces/Dazes and my Merfolk deck is basically Legacy-legal)
I actually like standard because the rotating card pool is actually a neat concept and gets around the e-sports problem of intentionally fucking up balance to prevent meta stagnation(same reason limited is fun).
As an antecedent, I await the day that WotC finally gets serious about their digital staff and makes MTGO a core product. One of the reasons MTGO sucks so much, I think, is because they have the IRL scene to protect.
I think legacy is awesome because the power level of everything has pretty much stayed level (with occasional dips and peaks) and so theres tons of viable decks.
Modern just feels like legacy lite which is kinda of lame to me.
I enjoy how Modern gets a lot of different archetypes than Legacy. Force of Will keeps a lot of the dumber decks from being possible. Things like Archangel Pod could never be a real deck in Legacy unless you somehow rounded up every Force known to mankind and burned them.
Any chance one of you guys wants to buy a Modern Burn list on MTGO? I have Eidolons and crap and have no desire to play it. I'll even kick in the stuff you need to convert to Legacy Burn for free.

Including Grim Lavamancers and Fetchlands and goblin guide in that?

I only really need Eidolons, maaaaybe Guides, and Searing Blazes, so if you get someone who wants the whole thing I won't bother you to take it apart.
