I don't mind getting completely dumpstered by way better players sometimes. Playing with people way better than you can be more aggravating when you always feel 2 steps behind.

It's probably because I have no interest in getting any better, but when I play someone better than me, I don't really feel anything. I don't even really try to win, I just let them do their thing and ff 20. I kinda have lost all interest in trying to play good tough games. I don't even really want to play games against people around my skill level because I don't crave that challenge anymore. I rather just play against bronzes and low silvers for the rest of my time with the game.

OK, I need help on something really stupid.

I can't lane against Vayne. I can lane against every other ADC fine, but I've not found a way that works for me to lane against Vayne and shut her down. I don't want to push her into tower, but can't kill her/force her back when she's not pushed into tower either because PERCENTAGE HP TRUE DAMAGE IS FAIR AND BALANCED.

Generally Graves, because I tend to pick Graves when I'm not sure what to pick. However I have this problem with Jinx as well, which is the adc I tend to pick

Like, I'm awful at ADC and super non-aggressive/low-risk during lane in general other than poking em out, but I am pretty confident I can kill Vayne as MF just by pressing Q and avoiding being condemned into a wall.

There's the scaling thing but.

I'm not asking for tips on what ADC to play, I'm asking for tips on how to lane against Vayne. And

please

don't say "don't sit near walls". I don't. I just find that during laning I can at no point either get close enought to the Vayne to kill her or she'll outdamage me when I do get near her.

i would think graves would have trouble because vayne actually outranges him. So she can start the 3 count before you can poke. Pick Cait or Ashe or Jinx (With fishbones) and she can't do much. Plus, can't tumble condemn very easily.

well what champion you use basically determines that, ani. Because if you're a short range Graves, you have to get within her range and that requires a different skill than "pop vayne two times, retreat before she gets a shot at me" caitlyn.

If you can't beat Vayne in lane, you have a lot of problems, imo

Lucian, Corki, Graves, Cait, Jinx, MF, Draven, Urgot, Trist, probably even Varus all beat her in lane. Kog too. Quinn.

Support kinda matters, but given equal skill between all four members of botlane, what I said is true. (Equal skill never actually exists in league)

Edit: FUCKING SHOOT HER. SHE HAS 500 RANGE. SHOOT HER EVERYTIME SHE IS IN RANGE AND HIT HER WITH YOUR ABILITIES IF YOU CAN DO SO AND NOT MISS FARM(OR GET FARM WHILE HITTING HER WITH SAID ABILITIES) JUST ALWAYS BE SHOOTING HER JUST LIKE SHE WAS ANY OTHER CARRY

Graves is actually 3 times as tanky and does twice as much damage early.

Ankamius said probably the most useful piece of ADC knowledge ever like 3 years ago and I can't quite remember it perfectly but it was something to the effect of

A bad AD carry will never harrass you
A decent AD carry will only harrass you if they can't farm
A good AD carry will always harrass you while they farm

fwiw the wikia says that vayne outranges graves, 550 to 525. of course graves has buckshot.
