Everytime I've seen someone comment on someone else's alignment in twilight or beginning day and italicize a word, it's usually because they are trying to put up a visage to make them seem like they are generally surprised. It's very fake coming from scum. It sounds stupid, but I'm going to try and look for some in my past games. Plus, it's not the only thing I'm scum reading you for.

Varsoon's hammer was scummy as goddamn fuck and I'm very surprised BBT didn't shoot him. That being said, I'm finding it hard to reconcile the following.

I have no clue, honestly. I don't know what Varsoon means by "Caught ya" and Drake's reply to me seems really sarcastic. Was it not a hammer?
