That kind of ruined the concept for everyone.
What some of the original players lacked in staying power, the remaining members made up for by working really well together even if they weren't the best players.
I'm ready for TM3 and hoping my team is sticking together.
Tammy and Oversoul were the reasons why we won last time. They played awesomely, and their encouragement kept me going.
I haven't played mafia since TM2, but I guess I need to come out of retirement for this. Hopefully Oversoul will join in, and then we'll just need a fourth.
in the past i've done it by teams selecting themselves. usually prior to sign ups there's a thread where people can post that they want to play and get a team together. in the past there's been a provision for individuals to sign up if there weren't enough precomposed teams, but was never actually used as there were more teams than spots.
a time for sign ups was announced and the first teams to sign up got in. There were no pre-ins other than the past champion if they had enough returning members got in automatically. The next one will allow two teams as they were nearly tied though the Captains won it.

When I talked to oversoul over the summer and we thought team mafia was going to be in the fall, he said he was going to be around. So hopefully!
soon my friend, soon. i need to think about what needs to be done to set a timeline for getting mods, getting setups done (which I think this time around may actually be simpler as the last time my comments were, "do more of the basic games."
Do you need mods / organizational people / bake sale fundraisers?
Routine day with a dirt cheap brush
Then a week goes by and it goes untouched
Then two, then three, then a month
Then the rest of your life, you beat yourself up
yes, probably not, absolutely. i'll make an announcement for mods soonish, though i'm pretty busy with family and friend stuff over the next week or two.
