I am just naturally curious and I was under the impression that this thread was an open book when people got punished(several people have posted tribunal cards ect). You also implied that you were innocent, so I was doubly curious because I was wondering if my account could be at risk as people are when someone says riot fucked up their account. I have no interest in antagonizing you. So what did you do? Refer a friend abuse as Ani said?

WRT this (if you're serious, which I bet you are) I've said I'll get people new skins if they really want them back. My impression of my gifting was A) that it had mostly gone towards Klaz and B) when it wasn't towards Klaz it wasn't very good.

I'm not sure Glork's Yellow Jacket Shen got much use, but I'd replace it if he wanted me to. I got far more taken away then I should've, that much is true. Skins/Champions that I've had almost since I started playing (the offense happened a couple months ago), two Rune Pages, almost all the Runes for those pages...it's not just a couple skins and it's

worth an equivalent value to what I got from the Refer-a-Boosting - yes, that is what it was.

I don't understand why people are mad? He asked a question and I answered it as genuinely as I could. I never said I was gonna punish you. I said you got punished. Which you did. By riot. For once I agree with Panz here. Maestro's overreacting to the mention of "punished" in Panz's post apparently without considering the context ("This is a thread where people seem to be open about when they get punished (rightly or wrongly) for doing things", not anything along the lines of "you (maestro) got punished"). I certainly hope that wasn't an attempt to use our seemingly standard animosity toward Panzer to get quick agreement with you.

(as a side note, I am honestly curious as well. Mainly because I don't have the funds to actually do any gifting and don't really get what you can do to illegitly get RP from that)

What used to work and riot is now going back and fixing is that you'd go to a site and pay them a few real world dollars, and they'd use a BUNCH of robotic accounts to put you down as who referred them. Then those accounts would robotically get played to whatever level riot required to have the person who referred them to get Rot Points. Then the accounts would just go dead silent.

Something like $50 and 72 hours later you get all the benefits of maximum Refer-A-Friend-ed-ness which includes uh...21975 RP, 2500 IP, Grey Warwick (+ Warwick if you don't already own him), and Medieval Twitch (+ Twitch if you don't already own him, I assume...but it doesn't say). It was totally worth it money-wise as long as Riot didn't find out, which I always thought they

. Given the amount of time that elapsed I thought I was safe but obviously I was wrong. It probably didn't help that shortly after I did it they announced the Refer-A-Friend 3.0 thing and the crackdown on abusers.

EDIT: If you're checking my numbers, the 21975 comes from me ordering 150 referrals instead of the 100 that would result in all the juicy stuff - 150 netted you the first "50 friends after 100" bonus which I believe was 5000 extra RP on its own.
