not sure yet. The fact that he starts off showing he didn't bother to see who is playing and the omgused in the next post dont exactly scream town to me. But it's still too early for me to get a feel on whether I think he is scum.

I am fairly new to mafiascum so reading a player list is not a lot of use to me. Plus I had just finished a 12hour shift and just wanted to catch up with what was happening in the game. I remember names better when I have a picture alongside them but since they had not posted by that point I wasn't aware they was a player.

Talking, interacting, maybe discuss set up, what the title of the thread might mean, introducing yourself etc. All of these progress your reads of other players so far and provides the rest of town with information. There is quite a bit we could start on, it is not really that difficult to use your imagination.

Well set up is off limits this early in the game, cause that could lead to outing power roles.

But the rest I'm game. I'm town, I have nothing to hide. So talk to me, interact with me, show me how this is done.

Cause honestly, RVS works for me. I'm getting a feel for a few players...but if this helps you, let's do it.

I use to have a pet turtle. Asked my girlfriend once to watch him while my family went of vacation. Forgot to tell her that he ate live worms, and you had to keep them cool/refrigerate them. Thought that was going to be the end of the relationship. We're married now.

So what do you suggest? Just keep rvs voting with minimal interaction and hope you strike lucky? If that is your system of play then you are in the wrong game, you may as well just roll a dice trying to guess the result beforehand, at least that way you wouldn't have to wait 2 weeks for the result.

Rather than just spend the day throwing out 'random' votes based on nothing it would be better to try get a read off of players posts and who they interact with, which is pretty difficult to do if your allowing players to get away with minimal posting and to vote without justifying themselves.

The way I see it is if you have information then you can sort through it. If someone posts something and it later turns out to be misleading/lie then you can use it to justify your vote against them. It is far harder when you don't have anything to go on.

Using votes is town's main way of removing scum, I would rather people were able to make more informed decisions over dumb luck.
