I can agree with that. I have never been a fan of a laugh track in anything.

MASH is nostalgia for me. I put it up there when I noticed they had it available. Even as long as it ran, I'm pretty sure I had seen every episode at least once by the time of the series finale. I'm just watching random episodes here and there as the mood strikes me, seeing how the series as whole wasn't really connected episode to episode. The overall story arc was a hospital during the Korean war. Aside from the progression of the war, there really wasn't an episode by episode progression.

Snowpiercer I didn't much like. I mean watching movies requires a certain suspension of disbelief and I can certainly buy the premise of the movie if the setting was an arena the size of a city or something.

Couldn't buy the premise on a train though, no matter how big. The survivors would have to rely on each other much more than in the movie, in my opinion. Not enough people nor enough room to have so severe of a class distinction especially considering they were last survivors of the human race and knew it.

Just went through the list of TV Series (never actually went into that category and looked before). Three British (at least they look like BBC) shows jumped out at me and I added them to my watch list.

Midsomer Murders
Broadchurch
Foyle's War

Jury is still out on that one for me. Definitely gritty and not prettied up (I like that in a movie). Not sure how I feel about actual oral sex acts in a movie though. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anything close to prude and have watched my share of porn and whatnot, but it came as a surprise in a movie that wasn't billed as an adult or 'XXX' movie.

But, where it happened in the movie, it made total sense and didn't seem like it was put in there simply for the titillation factor. If this sounds like it makes any sense at all, it was both a surprise when it happened but after the initial surprise, I went 'Yeah, okay. I can see why he [the director] went ahead and showed it.'

Yeah. Even if you aren't into that kind of humor (and I am :) ) the cast list was pretty amazing.

Not sure I'd ever re-watch Lunopolis, but it certainly wasn't a waste of time, in my opinion.

Hard to classify. Horror? Conspiracy?

DEVIL'S PASS

Takes an actual event (
The Dyatlov Pass Incident
) but departs from reality almost immediately.

Another of those that I'd likely never re-watch but not a waste of time at all.

The ABC's of Death is an anthology really. Each director is given a letter of the alphabet and they make a short on it. Some of the shorts are real stinkers, but there are some pretty good gems in there in both 1 and 2.

If you supernatural genre fans don't mind watching subtitled movies, Russia has a couple of good (decent) entries (in my opinion) Nightwatch and Daywatch.

Didn't think too much of it from the trailer as seemed like a lot of hype, but I watched the first (and so far the only) season of Marco Polo.

The series centers on Marco Polo, obviously, but Benedict Wong(Kulbai Kahn), Joan Chen (his wife the Empress) and Tom Wu (100 Eyes, a blind Kung Fu(?) Master) are really the characters that drove the first season. And that is slighting some of the other characters and actors. Don't know how historically accurate it is but it is well written, acted and directed and has many subplots that are being well done. Other than some of the extras, I don't think there is a non-complex character in the show.

Worth the watch in my opinion.

Just came available for streaming.

The original NCIS.

If you are a fan of crime dramas, this is pretty much a no-brainer
