I'm considering getting Netflix, just so I can watch Breaking Bad and the rest of Battlestar Galactica and maybe Caprica.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

Making sense was obviously not the point of the movie. It was well-acted, well-cast!! and stylistically bizzare but compelling. The social commentary was maybe heavy handed but there wasn't a shot that didn't look great

Are the Pixar movies on Netflix? I feel like something could be made out of the first 8 minutes of Up.

Just went through the list of TV Series (never actually went into that category and looked before). Three British (at least they look like BBC) shows jumped out at me and I added them to my watch list.

Midsomer Murders
Broadchurch
Foyle's War

Scrolling through netflix, here's some things I've seen that I loved:

Frank
Submarine
Mr Nobody
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (!!!)
Bernie (Even if Jack Black annoys you, this is a very different and terrific movie)
Short Term 12 (FEELS)
Enter the Void
City of God
Nymphomaniac (surprisingly very good)
Joe (It's like Mud but way better. Proof that Nicolas Cage > Matthew McConaughey)
In Bruges (simply one of the best movies I've ever seen)
Punch Drunk Love (think Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine. Adam Sandler is great here)
The Hunt (another FEELS movie)
Biutiful (THE MOST POSSIBLE FEELS)
God Bless America (dark and sardonic)

there's actually a lot of good movies on Netflix

The Good Doctor is also very interesting and I've heard almost nobody mention it which is sad because it's the kind of movie that makes you wanna talk about it. Michael Peña, possibly the most underrated actor working right now, is great in it.

Jury is still out on that one for me. Definitely gritty and not prettied up (I like that in a movie). Not sure how I feel about actual oral sex acts in a movie though. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anything close to prude and have watched my share of porn and whatnot, but it came as a surprise in a movie that wasn't billed as an adult or 'XXX' movie.

But, where it happened in the movie, it made total sense and didn't seem like it was put in there simply for the titillation factor. If this sounds like it makes any sense at all, it was both a surprise when it happened but after the initial surprise, I went 'Yeah, okay. I can see why he [the director] went ahead and showed it.'

Blue Ruin was great.

Oculus was alright. Your best horror options on Netflix are probably the two V/H/S movies (they're collections of short films, one film in the middle of the second movie is amazing) and You're Next. Tucker and Dale vs Evil is really good too but it's more comedy than horror.

Also if you haven't seen From Dusk Til Dawn, first of all do not read ANYTHING about it, not even the synopsis on netflix, and watch it ASAP.

Horns looks weird/interesting. I might check it out next time boyfriend is at board games.

I keep suggesting we watch In Bruges and he keeps saying no because Colin Farrell's face is on the cover. :igmeou: I will probably never get to see it.

Just watched the first half of The Hunt for Red October last night and I love it so far. Can't wait to finish it tonight. Came up because there's some other Jack Ryan movie on with the new Captain Kirk that I wanted to watch but the bf is a huge trekkie and hates the new ST movies and refuses to watch it. I swear the reasons he has for not wanting to watch interesting-looking movies is so arbitrary.
