If you want to choose 3 people that are town, shouldn't you be putting yourself on there? >_> It kinda sounds like you're more interested in selecting a mission that others will approve.

No one wants me on the damn team so why waste time trying to convince people of it? Finding 3 town people is finding 3 town people. I am sure I will be on a team eventually so I will have my chance.

You are also forgetting that if I submit a team that people don't like then it will be rejected and we have to go to a new leader do this whole process again until we can agree on something before the 5th time or else we fail.

I forgot all the rules but I don't think the leader should put themselves on any team. This will decrease the number of scum that a scum person can place on any one time. We don't know how many scum are out there either so lets say there is only one then we can assure that the scum leader's mission is a success.

I'm somewhat surprised that:

A) You don't know this, as I would have assumed you've played Resistance before
B) That Beast didn't question this, as he appears as if he hasn't played before

I kinda skimmed over it, I'm rereading beast's last paragraph and still having trouble understanding what he means.

A) You thought it was possible there was only 1 scum?… Really?…
B) A scum leader picking a team without himself will have a super high probability of just picking a team with one scum on it and two town partners to guarantee the mission will fail.
C) There is more town than there are scum, so if every leader choose not to pick himself, probability wise we just decreased our chances of picking an all town team, if that's your goal

FYI, I'll give everyone, town and scum, a heads-up. It is supposed to be public that there are 3 scum. I see the mod didn't put that anywhere.

I have never played this before so yes there could have only been 1. Was it likely? No but still possible.

Everyone's goal should be choosing an all town team.

How could you conceive there'd only be 1 scum? The game would be totally broken if there was only 1 scum… O.o

And if your goal is to choose an all town team, and you are town, you should be putting yourself on the team:

Otherwise your chances of picking all town are 4/35 (11.42%) (that's 4c3/7c3)…
Whereas if you put yourself on your chance of choosing all town is 6/21 (28.57%) (that's 3c2/7c2)…

Now, Beast, if you were to pick a team with yourself, who would you want on it?

Generally, at least for the first couple missions a leader takes themselves. That gives the leader more info on who they want checked...I also don't care for this one scum nonsense.

Thoughts so far:

Aronis appears to be too non-committal. Could go either way here.

Mostly null on BBMolla. The fact that he knew the number of scum bothered me at first, but then I realised that this is probably just knowledge of the game itself. Other than that, nothing caught my interest so far.

I already gave some thoughts on beast earlier, and so have a few others. I think he might be scum.

BPC looks good, nothing bothering me there. He's engaging people and giving reads on them. I think I'd like to see him on the mission.

Blackberry is making me paranoid. I know he is perfectly capable of appearing to be town as scum, and making a valid analysis of a given situation, and that's what he's doing right now. On the other hand, he appears to be town, and his analysis on things (e.g. beast, probabilities) was valid. This is very aggravating.

Titus hasn't really said much, and is looking like a lurker. On the other hand, the things she has said look alright, so I'll call her null-town.

Wisdom is another one that makes me paranoid, for two reasons. 1) He is townreading me, and I don't much care for a Wisdom who isn't 100% suspicious of everyone all the time, since that's how he usually is. 2) I have never scumread Wisdom, and that always worries me, because it probably means he's really good at looking town, at least to me. On the other hand, I have not yet seen Wisdom actually have a scum role, as far as I can remember, in the games we played or I read. He needs to be sorted out post-haste, just like BlackBerry.

If we want the first mission to be a success, I would currently recommend a team from {me, BPC, Titus, one of {Aronis, Molla}}. If we want to just use it for information and don't care about the outcome, I suppose any team would be fine.
