To some extent that's an exception to the norm. I always have reasons, but they generally make less sense than they did in Duck Tales. Of course I'm sorting players here, but it's very...well, weakly done.

First rule of reading Mastin, never assume Mastin will play the same in two games even if given the same role. Always recognize that different games means different times, different players, different interactions, and thus, Mastin (who is very, very sensitive to the atmosphere of a game, completely morphed by it) changes in them.

Next I asked you why this reads Mollie scum.

I already answered. In fact, fairly sure you quoted it. General feels, of her not townposting (I don't really have much more than that), but I said that could be wrong. I'm leaving my vote on her just 'cause I feel like it.

It's more otherstuff that's not strong. Like, I'll give my reactions to posts, stating town/scum, and what I think of a player. Just feels until I say otherwise.

As for you? Pretty sure that I never was more than pretty sure you were scum, and that read has weakened.

Uhg, I hate to go say it.
But I'm totally invoking as the justification the Pine rule.
Because it's the simplest way to explain it.

The larger the game, the harder it is for me to function properly.
In Duck Tales, I was able to lock things down because I was able to instantly get a feeling for how things were going on.

Here, I tried that--as I always do--but so far all I'm getting back is a confused static of feelings, where I get things that may be town/scum or may not be. Instead of having a clear, hardlined opinion on "Oh, yes, this is what happened", instead I get "Hey, this might've happened, but wait, no, that doesn't feel right, perhaps it could be that instead, but if so, what about...". Thanks to player interactions, mainly. Players make the game. Lots OF players, most of which I hold little familiarity with (in contrast to Duck where I held familiarity with most of the players), interacting makes it so that instead of seeing clear messages when someone posts, I see static. Too many signals, so there's nothing to focus on, to lock onto.

Thus the difference.

I swear I'm not going to go do a Pine and say I'm not going to contribute. Because I will be, as I can. But the best I can do right now is simply not going to be comparable to the best I did in Duck Tales. Not off of what we have now. Give it some time. A few days, a week. That's all I generally need.

(I'm assuming that the mod's definition of "contains some bastard elements" is lightly bastard, by which I mean technically a bastard game for one or two small things. Not flat-out lying to the players at every turn. 'Cause that aint "some".)

This is mainly for me, but I thought I'd share since I don't want to take written notes on a game this huge. Enjoy or ignore.

I'm pretty confident Mollie is Town here. Getting that same vibe from Heartless.

Farside is not as Town as I have seen her be but this is a huge game and I'm chalking up any variances to that at the moment.

I've played with Mastin exactly once to my knowledge and she nailed me as scum within like five seconds. I'm curious to see if that pinpoint accuracy is present in this game for me, for others. Not going to lynch her today.

Other Town: Psyche, Reina, Marquis, beastcharizard, probably Varsoon.

Watching Ika still. Aeronaut too, my meta experience is limited here and I'm not really confident I could spot his scum game from it.

Cheetory seems off somehow and I can't decide if it's the weirdness with the insurance or something else going on there. Watching that but not wanting to lynch right now. Psyche semi-vouching for him is odd but not scummy, so I am factoring that in.

My tentative lynch pool: Ika pending content, Aeronaut. Watching 4nxi3ty but not sure there. BRO is in range for a prod already.

Yeah, I got basically nothing. Well, townreads, but not enough to do PoE yet anyway. Waiting on content from Ika before deciding about moving my vote from that slot.

Those two things aren't linked.

If Mastin is scum, she knows who the town are. She won't be READING anyone, because certainty trumps reading people. If she's town, she's out there like the rest of us with imperfect knowledge and reads based on gut and evidence.

I don't feel like I play scum very well (you and I know of one exception, and even there I would say it was the team and not me). Mastin's ability to catch me as scum (and yours, for that matter) doesn't make me think "The God of Mafia Hunters is among us!" I don't extrapolate that because people have been able to catch me, they could necessarily read others perfectly.

Mastin town is an asset. Mastin scum is a threat. The same is true for you. I'm not voting either of you today because you are assets if you're town and I'm leaning town on both of you.

4nx - started off strong but in the recent post they feel more or less empty, there were some that basically said "tell me what you think" kind of thing and not really solving IMO. to me i read it as "you tell me so i can be lazy"
