Imagine you've died and awoken in a room with 2 doors. One of the doors leads to heaven and the other leads to hell. Neither door is marked. A guard stands next to each door. One of the guards always tells the truth and the other always lies. You are permitted to ask only one question to one of the guards before choosing a door to go through. What is the one question you could ask to be sure that you will know which door leads to heaven?

A hunter wakes up in his cabin. He decides to go hunt a bear. He walks half a mile south, falls and skins his knee. He gets up, and walks another half mile south. He sees a bear, and shoots at it. He misses, and chases it a mile east. He finally catches up and kills the bear. He drags the bear a mile north, and sees that his cabin was ransacked by another bear!

What color was that bear?

Three men are taken captive by a wizard. The wizard offers them one chance to live before he will execute them.
He takes the three men to a staircase and has one stand at the bottom, one in the middle and one at the top. All are facing the same direction, down the stairs.
The wizard then says:
"In my hands I have 2 red hats and 2 blue hats. I will randomly put a hat on each of you. In order for you to live, one of you must tell me the color of your hat. If you're right, I will let you all go. If not, I will kill you. No guessing, I will be able to tell. You may not turn around, cheat, take off your hat, or communicate with anyone in any way."
The men agree and close their eyes. The wizard puts a hat on each of them and says "You have 5 seconds to tell me your color hat"

And then the man in the middle shouts out his hat color and the wizard lets them go. How did he know?

If the guy at the top saw 2 of the same coloured hat then he would have shouted out his colour, so the guy in the middle knew he had to have the opposite colour of the guy at the bottom

Because since the man at the top of the stairs didn't immedietly realize his hat color, he knows that he and the one he can see have different hats. And there ya go.

I never got this one, until I had someone explain it to me. Kudos if you figure it out. I approached it wrong.

All 100 blue eyed leave on night 100. Because on the first night if no one leaves, there will be at least 2 blue eyes. And on night 2, no one leaves, so they deduce that there must be 3 blue eyes. And so on, until night 99 when no one leaves, there must be 100 people with blue eyes.

But each blue eyed person can only see 99 blue eyes, and so concludes that they themself have blue eyes.
