KoC, what happens if I have a Humility, Opalessence, Night of Souls' Betrayal, and Crusade in play simultaneously?
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

(realistically, it entirely depends on which order they entered play in as to which effects activate first/if the effects are even there TO activate.)
I'm pretty sure even an L2 would ask for help with this one.
Anyway, I'm running a couple prerelease events this weekend, and then if everything goes well, taking my L1 Judge Exam on Monday. Wish me luck!

It's actually far from the worst thing you can be asked as a judge, just because so many smart-asses do it and then stick their hand up and yell for a Judge with a shit-eating grin on their face that you can literally pull out a phone and find the answer to any number of Opalescence/Humility related questions in seconds, even if you're not aware of how timestamps and layers work.
If I make Hooting Mandrills a copy of Soulflayer through Polymorphous Rush, does Hooting Mandrills get the abilities of cards exiled to pay its delve cost while it is a copy of Soulflayer?

It was cast as a Hooting Mandrills, which ALSO has Delve, just like Soulflayer.

So my judge mentor, a friend of mine, and I all initially thought that it was "no" because it's a different instance of Delve than it was cast with. But apparently the answer is that it
does
get the abilities of anything delved with it because, and I quote, "Soulflayer".
I've been trying to figure this out with rules explanation, and as best as I can figure out: Hooting Mandrillsflayer is a Souflayer here because a card's name on a card refers to "this card", so it sees that it was cast with Delve, and those count towards Hooting Mandrillsflayer's new second ability.
Basically, Soulflayer is super weird(also see: confusion over Soulflayer/Torrent Elemental right when Fate Reforged came out). It has been called a "stupid, made-up card"

Huh, that's really interesting. I'm also going to throw this at a judge friend of mine tonight to see how he reacts.
Which would imply that you need to keep track of what got delved by what which creature, just in case it turns out to be a Soulflayer.

Ugin is actually the bad guy, right? Colourless magic, convinced the heroes not to kill the (colourless) eldrazi and just imprison them, made tarkir worse by continuing to live, dragon tempests - what's that about? What's powering that?
Theory - Tarkir dragons are eldrazi poop.

This implies Nicol Bolas is the good guy.
This theory is invalid.
Fuck Nicol Bolas.
Yes my Lord, but questions are dangerous, for they have answers.

Speaking of Eldrazi, last night I drafted Ur Emrakul in the legacy cube; my only other win condition was a Greater Gargadon; I went 2-1 and should've won the first round but I punted by not Dazing something (which they could've paid for) just to create another token with Talarand.
There are not enough Emrakul decks in modern given how absolutely busted he is.

Does a Siege Rhino with lifelink give it's controller 6 life when it enters the battlefield against a single opponent?

Nope, life loss is not damage, so lifelink doesn't matter.
Also, Shanba, the reason that the Dragons went crazy is because Ugin is in his cocoon the whole time. The story implied that things were balanced while he was both alive and conscious. Also, the Eldrazi aren't killable, according to the story that introduced Nahiri.
"That may not be possible," said Ugin, "and it certainly isn't wise."
"Worlds are dying," said Nahiri. She rested her hand on the hilt of her sword. "What wisdom could there be in leaving these things alive?"
"Do you know what they are, Nahiri of Zendikar?" asked the dragon. He lowered his enormous head to look her in the eye. "Do you know if they inhabit some unseen ecology, or what will happen if they are destroyed? Do they deserve death? Does your moral judgment extend only to beings you understand? Can you answer any of these questions?"
He peered at Sorin.
"And Sorin, you of all people understand the necessity of balance."
Destroying them certainly isn't wise, UGIN?
I'M ON TO YOU

I would think that any abilities Soulflayer had at the time it was copied would be what the copy of Hooting Mandrills becomes. Delve (for Hooting Mandrills, at least) was just an alternate casting cost, and has no effect on the card once it has entered play. However, Soulflayer was already affected, and whatever keywords it "gained" from the delve would merely be copied by Polymorphous Rush.
Like Supplant Form on a Warden of the First Tree after it's second ability has been used. It comes in as a Human Warrior with base power and toughness 3/3, but also has all of the abilities of the basic Warden.
