It depends on why the win rate is what it is. For Ryze it's bad because he's bad. I like Ryze too, and he's super cheap and easy to get cause he's 450. He's just not the pick.

Ultimately if you're better than bronze you can play anyone like broseiden says but if you aren't a stronger champ/stronger mechanic will go a long way in elevating you just a little beyond your ability.

A stronger champ won't help, though, since balance isn't static.

It's better to just pick a few champs that are relatively easy to play (no Zed, etc), and stick with them until you are actually good.

As someone in low silver elo, I agree that nasus is a beast. There are lots of bad ones, but assuming you can properly farm with him, he can be an unctrollable/unkillable/super damaging bitch. If you're against him with a team that isn't suited to ending the game fast (I.e, Ziggs), its gonna be mighty hard to win.

Nasus has a couple of issues. For one it's that people who play him don't always understand their character. Lets get it out of the world straight away: Nasus is not a lategame champion.

He's a toplaner with a weakish early game that brings little cc, is good at taking down structures, pushes mediocrely, and doesn't have to build an offensive item to hurt. He doesn't have a gapcloser (nope, wither doesn't count). Everything about this character screams bruiser apart from siphoning strike which seems to imply that he'll be awesome lategame, infinite scaling and all. But at 60 minutes, nobody cares. There are two characters in the whole game that matter at that point, and they are the attack damage carries. They'll shoot you from miles away, and Nasus has to walk over to get use out of his stacks, and there will be all kinds of people in his way throwing whatever they can find in his way to stop him moving to their adc. You don't actually get to hit the adc anymore, because it doesn't matter if you have 4 items of armor, they will kill you quicker.

Where nasus, and any bruiser, rules, is the time where adc's don't have all the multiplicative stats together yet, where his armor and mr still helps him survive. That's before lategame, and his timing because of his build path/siphoning strike is different from your average shyvana, but that's his window. And then, in low silver or low gold alike, we don't organise a proper splitpush. Now that he can do, outscale his direct bruiser opponent. But cc for a teamfight at

dragon? Meh.

What he does better than most other bruisers is converting (small) victories into objectives. Towers sure don't live long.

But for sure he's not an autopilot champion, you have to manage when to splitpush, when to team up and get that objective, because it's an illusion that you aren't on a clock. You are, like any toplaner, and most others have more than wither to offer for their god (the adc) in lategame teamfights.

I mean, if you get all that, he's very nice in low elo. You can take that tower after a teamfight on your own while your team is doing wolves or something

I usually cringe when I see nasus picks on my team because people don't know how to freeze at my ELO and will try to push into strong laners like riven or darius then complain they're not getting ganked for enough.

Nasus can never really carry, someone like a Riven if they get ahead enough can carry out of toplane if their team fits around them properly but Nasus lacks the raw DPS needed to carry.

i just had a talon who went "support" despite not buying anything supporty, then when we swapped things around he followed me (the adc) from lane to lane doing absolutely nothing except occasionally throwing out his claws. then he trash talked us.

It wasn't even like he really wanted mid or anything. We gave him mid. He was just trolling I guess

I'd say every other game or so has one pretty annoying player, but sometimes he's on the other team, so you get one every 4th game or so.

Low bronze players are happy and confused or happy and don't care.
High bronze are mad they aren't silver and it's everyone else's fault
Low silver players are either new and happy that they lucked out in placements and can't get demoted, or are incredibly anger because they should be gold but elo hell, lucky bronzes ect.
High silver is all angry people trying to get gold.
Low gold is fucking Disneyland
High gold is back to the angry grind because you need plat and these fucking teammates keep picking champs that aren't top tier on a certain tier list.
I'm sure low plat is probably a happy place and high plat is probably a semi angry place. Once you get to diamond I don't think there is any singular motive driving angry players but they definitely exist.
I'm sure challenger and master is awesome because a handful of them actually are contractually obligated to not be rude. But trick2g
