Jailkeeper
Aligned with the Mafia
Most of the inhabitants of the Radical Lands are way too cool to engage in things like murder and conspiracy and betrayal, but then again, you aren't exactly like most inhabitants of the Radical Lands. While everyone around you was busy coming up with sick new skateboarding moves or seeing how many pairs of sunglasses they can wear at once before it starts looking ridiculous, you were focused on overthrowing the kingdom and ruling the Radical Lands with an iron fist. Er...hoof? Iron hoof.
Twisted and corrupted by your own evil desires, you assassinated the former King Radical so you could take his place on the throne, but the land chose Sir Sicknasty of Spades as the new king instead. Those fools don't realize that you are truly the coolest creature who has ever lived, but they'll know soon enough. Oh yes, they'll know. By the time you're through with them, they'll all agree that nobody is more radical than you!

. The two of you can converse during the pre-game and during the night phases in a private topic located here.
Daytime Abilities:
During the day, you may vote to lynch any living player in the game.
Nighttime Abilities:
During the night phase, you and the rest of the Mafia team can choose to kill any living player in the game. Only one of you can perform the kill.
Additionally, you have the ability to jail any living player in the game. While jailed, that player will be protected from killing actions and any night actions that they have will be blocked. You cannot jail yourself. You can jail a player and perform the factional kill on the same night if you'd like.
Passive Abilities:
None.
Win Condition:
You win when your team comprises at least 50% of the living player list (or nothing can prevent this from happening) and there is at least one member of the Mafia faction still alive.

Mitzi McNinja
Lie Detector
Aligned with the Town
Who says mothers can't be badass? As the stalwart matriarch of the McNinja family, you can switch between loving mother and cold-blooded assassin at a moment's notice. In fact, since your husband is a complete doofus and your older son is more concerned with protecting people than killing them and your younger son is a lazy poseur, one could argue that you're the most competent ninja in the whole family. The only thing deadlier than your aim with a crossbow is your signature dish of pickled beets. (You know, because of the poison. They're deadly because they're poisoned. Don't eat them. You'll die.)
Daytime Abilities:
During the day, you may vote to lynch any living player in the game.
Nighttime Abilities:
Everybody knows that you can't lie to your mother. During the night phases, you may send me a PM containing a quote from the game thread made by one of the other players and I will tell you whether they are telling the truth or lying. Please note that I am not omnipotent or all-knowing; if you send me a quote and I don't know whether or not it's truthful, you will receive no result. If this happens, you will not be able to submit a second quote on the same night.
Passive Abilities:
None.
Win Condition:
You win when all non-Town players have been eliminated from the game and there is at least one Town player still alive.
Please reply to this PM to let me know that you understand your role and that you have read and understand the game's rules. The game will not begin until I receive confirmations from at least 11 players.

Aligned with the Mafia
To most of the world, you are Frans Rayner, badass action movie star and martial arts expert. To the small percentage of the human population comprised of ninjas, you are Frans Rayner, badass action movie star and martial arts expert and also ruthless ninja genocide machine. You have made it your life's goal to eradicate every last ninja from the planet. (It's a long, complicated, and weird story. Dan McNinja's mustache is involved. Don't ask.)
Aided by the super-intelligent midget scientist Knickerbockers and the genetically modified ass-kicker Mongo the Uber Ninja, you are well equipped to carry out your mission and create the ninja-free existence that you so desperately crave. If anybody gets in your way, you'll melt their faces off with your deadly eye laser...after delivering an appropriately cheesy one-liner, of course. You
are
an action movie star, after all.

Although most people know you as the no-nonsense mayor of Cumberland, Maryland, you are actually a heroic time traveler from the future who was sent back in time to prevent a zombie apocalypse. The good news? Your mission was a success! The bad news? Preventing one apocalypse always seems to open the door for an entirely different apocalypse to step in and take its place. As such, multiple versions of Chuck Goodrich are always tumbling into present-day Cumberland to save the future from an apocalypse caused by intelligent dinosaurs or evil sentient vacuum cleaners or bloodthirsty garbage monsters or

Hi Boo. We need to talk strategy for day one. In fact, it's best if we make a plan for sub-optimal events occurring, and events that work in our favor.
Are you going to distance me, or buddy me? Something in between? I don't recommend ignoring me. How will you react if Soren asks for your read on me, (which he will)?
What are your thoughts on the player roster? Any players, other than house, who we should specifically kill sooner rather than later?
We should probably watch out for PV and Katsuki. Maybe Aeronaut, but I think you'll be able to win him over with charm.
Most of all, I need to avoid being investigated during the night. How I'll achieve this? Time will tell.
What's your general strategy going to be for day one? Any plays/ things/ cues I should look out for?
We're playing with some very skilled people here, and we need to up our game from post one, but we can never make a show of ourselves. It's about balance and perception on that front. We need our perceptions of the town to be town, and the perceptions from town need to be town directed at us.
The thing that's going to be most difficult is people that know me too well as a player. Soren, for instance, will be able to pick up on a terrible post a mile away, and he won't think twice to comment about it. Suzune knows my play style too, but I think I might be able to outsmart her, as I've done it before, but the old saying goes "never underestimate your enemy." We should approach the game like Sun Tzu, lol.
I know it's really vein, and kind of selfish, but in order to remain hidden for the longest period possible, I think it's best we start with a partially random kill based on events during day one, then we kill Soren. Then we kill grapes. Then eventually we'll have to do something about house, but he'll be tricky to take out. Actually, let me kill house night one. It won't be protected.
Actually, scratch grapes off the kill list.
This is probably how it should go down:
House N1 with my strong man ability
Either Soren or grapes depending on how well their doing in the thread. You should make the kill night two.
We'll probably improvise from there.
Another thing I wanted to touch on is adaptiveness. We have to be adaptive, but we also have to make the game adapt to us.
Also, we need to set ourselves in the townie mindset so no one catches us doing deductive over inductive reasoning too early.
Any thoughts or tips? I've basically been writing random stuff down for over seven minutes. I'm just going to implement whatever pops into my head, but you have my word, I'll take the bullet for you in dire circumstances, (if the need arises), but I can't always cover for you, nor do I expect you to always cover for me. Can I count on you in that sense?
Players you really shouldn't underestimate at any moment in the game:
Grapes. You'll see why. When he's town, he's town.
Soren. Soren and I have PSI powers, so it'll be extremely difficult for me to mask myself from him.
House. House is house. We're also hat buddies.
PV might be lurky this game. We also need to try to run up the post count while having minimal posts. Keep the discussion burning, but also allow for it to stop dead. This will make it hard for townies to dig/ catch up/ insert themselves into the game. The forced awkwardness can be manipulated.
Grapes might be the only player who will consistently go back and read the thread multiple times until he finds something to post. Make sure your posts aren't vague, but allow them to have room for interpretation. Grapes will ISO the crap out of me, so I need,
need
, to have a narrative or else I'm screwed. My posts need to make sense to specifically him, and to everyone else.
Grapes may be a bit rusty, but really, please try not to let your guard down even though you've never played with some of these players. It would be a tragedy.
We also need to get n' sync. Not the boy-band, but the ability to be on the same wavelength.
I recommend re-reading the Taylor Swift U-pick. If we mimic part of our interactions there, here. Then all the meta losers will have something to bite at. I've never used meta, I just know these people too well.
If we mimic our town game from Taylor swift, the main points we brush up against will appear like we're naturally volatile players who have styles that clash. There is nothing more town than that, ironically, but, in order to do this correctly, we can't overthink this. It just has to come to us. Both from our past experience together, and the experience we apply from our past scum games.
Actually, I can't ask that of you. Things pop up, and people can't make it to events as they originally planned.
I too have finals all during the first week of june, and one on the monday following that week. If I can't post, I might be studying, but I will post during the times I have to make accommodations.
The majority of the town hopefully has semi-weak roles. We're kind of out-numbered.
Useless Role spec:
Dr. Mcninja: possibly the doctor, cop, or the vig. A Jack-of-all-trades type role would make the most sense.
Gorditio: Possibly a day vig. He uses guns a lot.
Dan McNinja: Possibly tracker or watcher.
Judy: Deputy Doctor. Definitely.
Dark Smoke Puncher/ Sean: Possibly tracker or watcher.
Yoshi: Booster.
King Radical: He's probably the miller.
Martin the Monster: Maybe the VI but that's kind of bastard. He could be macho/ bulletproof.
Generally speaking, I don't play scum any differently than I do town except that I don't attack my scumbuddies. I won't ignore you nor will I focus on you. I don't bus, so that's not going to happen; if you come under heavy suspicion and I would normally be suspicious of you myself, I might vote you but I wouldn't start that push.
I'm not concerned about who we kill, so I'll absolutely leave that up to you. I'm going to be watching for crumbs to figure out who to jailkeep.
I'm generally pretty active and, if anything comes up, I'll be sure to request V/LA. I don't foresee any issues right now, though.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
Alright, sounds great. Keeping things simple is always a pro-town style of approach.
I'll figure out the kills. Just look out for the players I mentioned.
Also, I think you'll be able to fool Soren, but I won't. I really feel like a Soren kill would bring too much attention to my slot, so House will probably be the better option.
Farside has a lot of experience with me; she may be a threat to me. If she starts, don't get involved, or she'll be suspicious of you too.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
Still need to read. I wasn't faking not following the game. I legitimately entered on the last moments without knowing we had reached a lynch. Just some dramatic irony to brighten your day.
Anyhow, any suggestions for who to kill?
Grapes seems like a good option judging from his push on me/ everyone's push on him which I still need to read.
No, maybe we could use my unlimited strongman on House?
Or did you want to make the kill and jail keep a certain person? Any crumbs?
You're getting a little slammed out in the thread, do you want me to go for a bus tomorrow, or would you mind?
I don't want to bus-lynch you, but depending on how things roll, it might be necessary. I.E. Farside makes an incriminating push.
Good work on not getting connected to BF's wagon.
Who are you planning to vote tomorrow and why?
Could you possibly give me a sample of your opening post, and/or vote?
I need to read, then I can come up with names, but I'm a little behind at the moment. Finals are real.
Farside hasn't made any real push on me yet. I don't care if you bus me; I'm definitely going to push Peacebringer and try to get him lynched.
I'm going to use my jailkeep on him so you can kill whomever you want. Grapes is likely to be a lynch target, as is Peregrine if he doesn't step up his game. Farside pushing BlankFace doesn't make her look great, especially since she jumped off at the last moment.
I believe there are two scum groups. I would guess that House and/or Farside are on the other side, probably one, perhaps both.
I'm really exhausted just now, but I'll try to give you a tl:dr for the game tomorrow.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
Ok, ok, but I thought you needed to make the kill in order to use your jailkeep? Mod, is this correct?
If you want to connect Farside to house, wouldn't it be more beneficial long-term to jailkeep one of them?
The divine reason I want to kill Grapes is because he's the likely lynch target. It's important we keep the town guessing, and keeping them in the dark this early will only prolong things to come to a town lynch again. See what happened today? The town was disorganised, reads were conflicted, and once we kill the main suspect, they have to start from the bottom-up again.
I, personally, don't want to end up with a vote on Grapes. He intimidates me a little too much, and he could out me as scum easily. I feel it in my bones.
Of course, once I actually read, I'll re-evaluate everything I've said so far.
Well, I was kind of waiting for you to weigh in; if not, I'm going to:
Nightkill: House
Jailkeep: Grapes
If you want to overrule this, you're free to do so. I have a movie to go to and I don't anticipate being back until late this afternoon.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
What about the doctor? House seems like the default option for a doc save.
I've read up, and personally, I think a JK on house and a NK on grapes would be a better option.
So far, the roles in this game lead me to believe neither side is exceptionally over-powered, so I don't think we have to worry about tracker/watcher, although we still need to factor them into our NK decisions. House seems like the most likely target for a watcher/doctor scenario. You seem most likely to be tracked, considering multiple people reading you as scum. I could easily make the kill on Grapes with no fear of being tracked, and I doubt he'd be protected either.
Who did you say your scum reads were in thread? You could always JK one of them. We have to be wary of power roles.
I don't need to make the night kill. I don't have House as a scum read so I am not going to jailkeep him.
I don't understand your reasoning. Peacebringer is one of the most suspected players. Farside is going after me but no one else is. I think we're looking at multiball (and I could be wrong, but I do think that based on the two-person scum team in a mini). No one is suspicious of you yet. So you can do the kill on whomever you want, but I'm not going to jailkeep someone I don't have as a scumread. I put in my picks because you hadn't weighed in and deadline is tonight.
If you plan to bus me (which I don't think is necessary, but I don't really care) then just pick whomever you think is the biggest threat to you, kill them and I'll jailkeep as if I were town. That will allow you to bus clean and will allow me to play naturally when the new day starts.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
Grapes, despite him being somewhat volatile, can really come-through in his town game. I also have suspicions he'll target me heavily day two, but since that faded away day one, I don't want it to resurface.
That's why I want to kill him. On top of this reason, I also think he's a likely candidate for investigation. Killing leads would really bash the town's investigative roles, and even suppress them from coming forward in the future.
Why don't you jailkeep peacebringer? You could totally make that work with your push. I might even go after that wagon myself, but I'll do it incrementally of course.
I recommend you bus me tomorrow. I feel like you're kind of playing just for yourself (not posting much, which is understandable, but asking to bus me before you've even really read the game isn't cool). I know you said you have read up, but you didn't know who my expressed suspicions were in the thread.
It seems to me that you're playing independently for yourself and if that's the case, then I'll deal with my own stuff and you kill the people that you feel are threatening to you. I think that's fair.
jailkeep: Farside
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
