Fish...your vote is wasted because it's wasteful to have it on a claimed vig before he's had the chance to prove his claim...ie be ~confirmed town. Plus...if he's not the lynch...and we don't direct his shot....scum are almost forced to kill him tonight barring the ability to effect a vig shot or it being a fakeclaim

Running out of time - one day left. We need to coalesce around a lynch candidate. Almost everyone seems to agree that Oka is a good lynch but it seems impossible to actually lynch him. Does anyone want to give a case for town Oka?

No, it is terrible for him to reveal the target because it directly allows them to manipulate the power.

They can choose whether or not to roll block it based on the target or whether or not to kill him based on his target. Essentially it would give the scum team the information they need to decide if role blocking is something they should do or are they going to get another dead townie out of it.

It is unlikely that he will end up taking out a scum – declaring it beforehand is almost like protecting scum from his ability.

Wicked. If we tell Rando to shoot Kop and Kop is a town PR he is going to out himself to avoid dying, which is just as bad.

It’s not “just as bad”. It’s actually “slightly better”. In one scenario, random kills a town PR. In the other scenario, the town PR is outed but they either survive or are killed by scum instead of by a vig. Sounds better to me.

And with a missing kill Rando gets speed lynched tomorrow.

there could be a role blocker on the scum team that would simply block Rando and frame him, or scum could just no kill to have only one flip tomorrow, then same boat for Rando.

Yes they do, but its harder to convince other people to vote with you for a lynch than it is to convince one guy with a gun to take aim and fire. And I would like to have our vig be useful and not be mislynched tomorrow.

I don’t think you make a legitimate argument here. You say it’s easier for scum to convince one guy than it is for scum to convince a majority. But you ignore the fact that it’s also easier for town to convince one guy than it is for town to convince a majority. Scum don’t become more powerful in the ‘convincing one guy’ game.

Do you have experience where leashing a vig/SK worked? If you do then I am all ears. If not then I'm going with people better at this game then I am who have derided the idea of leashing in any capacity.

I think I’ve only advocated leashing once (I can’t remember what game) and it probably didn’t work.

Did the ‘people better at this game’ deride leashing even when the vig was an irrelevant/useless player?
