if you were reading the game in real time it would have been clear. reading it after the fact doesn't give a good impression unless you are really analyzing the time stamps of each post.
after a D1 that becomes 100+ pages because one or two people want to post bullshit and nonsense over 2 or 3 times as many posts as anyone else, it's more often that people get burnt out trying to keep up with those one or two people. other voices get drowned out. people get lazy and don't want to go back and reread. things get missed because there just isn't enough time or energy to review things in depth.
it's absolutely a scum tactic and it works. and the townies who do it need to, seriously, fucking. shut. up. and let others contribute.
oh yeah. Xmen is another one. You don't think [redacted]'s complete lack of consideration for the input of others on D1 had anything to do with the demotivation that occurred thereafter?
p-edit: hell yeah it does. how many subtleties do you think you can pick up having to read 20 pages versus having to read 120 pages?
