can confirm that i talk about princeton somewhat more often per post than bro talks about darthmouth
of course i spend all of my time there and he graduated years ago but hey
Psyche, can you shut up until you actually propose a good title or 3?
Alternatively, keep swooping into the thread to shit on every single idea that gets proposed.

And psyche is flatly wrong about his interpretation of the word shade, but that doesn't surprise me.
Shade comes with a humorous/comedic context, and also a large gay/drag context the latter of which is largely appropriate for him anyhow since hes gay and loves Rupauls Dragrace.
When I propose titles, I don't think they are perfect. Its throwing an idea out and seeing if people like it or want to expand on it. Or just to start discussion.
You do nothing productive in this thread except rustle jimmies and stifle discussion.
Psyche, can you shut up until you actually propose a good title or 3?
can you?
But really, I think it's a myth that the only substantive thing one can do in the title discussion thread is to suggest titles and say that they're good ideas. I'm not going to look for reasons to nominate people for things just to balance out the fact that I don't like most recent nominations of people for things.
I don't think of Bro as throwing more shade than any other bitter mafiascum user? Idk, is his shade better?
The RuPaul connection appeals to me because he fucking
loves
that show, but I'm not sure if it's actually a good title for a good reason.

I was not criticizing you.
I was criticizing the idea that BRO talked about Dartmouth disproportionately such that it would warrant a title.
oh i wasn't criticizing him either
talking about ivy status is cool
it's become part of who we are
and most highly engaged members here talk a lot about themselves

You act like title's are objective when they aren't?
Just because you don't get a title doesn't make it bad. And if you don't get a title you should try to before you start throwing shade.
And yes, being the self proclaimed Title Police isn't the hero that this thread deserves.
I personally wouldn't get the shade association on the basis of BRO's on-site activity, though (other than his liking Drag Race and posting videos that feature shade or whatever). It's something that makes more sense after you meet him in person.
Maybe relevant to some people being confused by it.
I don't think I'm acting as if titles are objective. And I think I do "get" the title noms after people explain them. But then I might also dislike them. I think the hero that this thread deserves is kkb.
Pedit: It sounded like you were defensive, so I inferred that you thought I was criticizing you.
naw i was throwing shade
Shade is rudeness that is performed for the entertainment of others. The performance aspect is related to the association with drag.
It sounds a lot like when Regina pours a jug of milk on the girl she dislikes so that everyone in the cafeteria can laugh at that girl while admiring Regina for her clever move. All the entertainment adds is that the insult is public and therefore embarrasses.
i wasn't trying to say that the milk pouring was an act of shade throwing
but trying to say that shade throwing is just as much of a dick move as the milk pouring
"Dick move" connotes masculine rudeness/directness, which is not the same as shade. You would only make that comparison if you were trying to criticize someone's facility with shade.
