Because I like gameplay in my games.

I actually like fighting games. Watching top level battles can be really entertaining. Granted I can't play them myself, but still.

Smash is another story though, because I actually have some amount of experience in those games. I only ever Smash against CPU's using the competitive ruleset though, so I'm not really either a casual or serious player, so... I don't know. The only thing I'll defend Brawl with here is that it's target smash is a million times better than target blast. I have never been more angry at game reveals as when target blast was revealed. It's like they're trying to make side games worse with each subsequent game.

Zelda games are basically bullshit because you'll come to a pot that is too heavy to lift, then three dungeons later you get the zebra tale of lifting pots and it's bullshit because after that you only lift three more partsand so why not just break the pots with oh I dunno a rock and also now you have this item in your inventory forever and it does nothing good But waste time scrolling past the zebra tail for the boomerang that's equally bullshit. Tony Hawk's Pro skater it was the first time that many people realized that marijuana makes video game violence hilarious and there's nothing funnier than watching someone famous have their faces ground down on railings or trying to smash their spines through giant falls.

Massive fact is a really long choose your own adventure game about waiting for a timer to go down. You can be evil or you can be a dick. Instead of game mechanics it has bad colors and shitty controls and the series is famous for civil rights oriented education re: alien lesbians

Metroid and symphony of the night is for grandpa's

Paper Mario is legitimately a good game

Metal gear solid doesn't make any sense to anybody even the guy who wrote it: ghosts and bullshit nanotechnology vampires

Red dead redemption is grand theft auto in the Oldwest and it sucks

SSX tricky is an awesome game

Minecraft is terrible like Warcraft ...and yes, I lied earlier, WoW is bullshit. You know that was bullshit

Graham fandango is about a pI who is a skeleton you solve the crime and he's pretty hard boiled

Command and conquer is about what would've happened if someone went back in time and killed Hitler and kidnapped Einstein and then a cult started in the future based around fart Crystal's on a planet in space

StarCraft is about what would've happened if someone went back in time and created Hitler and kidnapped Gandhi the A cult started in the future based around fart crystals on a planet in space

Beat them up games have always been terrible, a lesson that it took the gaming industry 30 years to learn. The last beat them up was made in 1974 and it was called fuck this there is no fucking way we are going to play another beat them up. Then a long time went by and everyone forgot about beat them ups, then the Batman people decided they needed some moneyand introduced a whole new generation to the horrifyingly bad genre that is beat them ups. There are one or two exceptions to the rule that beat them ups are terrible: the bouncerfor PlayStation and River city Ransom for Nintendo

B: Smash isn't even a fighting game, or at the very least it caters to a significantly different audience than the other ones, so saying just play Blazblue doesn't seem fair regardless of how good those games are. Also, I thought that Unreal Tournament was an FPS. Am I thinking of something else?
C: I don't really see how Batman is a Beat 'em Up. Too much story, platforming, puzzles, and open worldness.
