You don't think a trade of a player in a scarce position with same values as a player in a common position is lopsided?

no, because the scarcity factors into the value

if we're trading, i'll have to rethink my strategy

Bid 400 on Suzuki.

As far as trading goes, I basically assume that if both people pay equal amount for the players the trade it would probably be a pretty fair trade. But like if you have a different idea for a deal, pm me your offer or whatever. I'm open to ideas and I'm not opposed to paying extra as I'd really like a complete roster.

More questions, can we trade during the draft or do we have to wait until it's over?
Could we trade points for players? I.E. I trade Jansen and 200 points for Suzuki.

That's why I said it would be lopsided, because scarcity figures into the value. An 11 OB 1st baseman or outfielder might go for 300 but an 11 OB catcher might go for 700-1000.

So basically my idea is if you spend 700 on a catcher, I would then spend 700 on a different player and we swap.

But the point is he might only spend 300 on a catcher that you would have spent 700 on because of the difference in scarcity.

Thurhame, do you think we should allow trading during the draft or wait until after? I think we should wait until after, but that's just me.

During. My preference would have been no trading, but if we're allowing it I think people should be able to use it to complete their roster.

Verlander goes to MonkeyMan for 350. Minor goes to MonkeyMan for 500. MonkeyMan and Kari to start the next players.

I'm open to no trading by my thinking in allowing it initially would be that it makes for a more interactive and strategic game.
