I disagree. The only easy way to win a game as town is if everyone who is town makes a good case that they're town, since it's the only thing they know for sure on day1.

What can you tell me about yourself to convince me you're town?

no this is terrible.

don't have people make cases why they are town, that's a waste of time. make a case why someone is scum... that's the point of the game

Sounds stupid to me tbh.

What is the usual ratio? Where can I find this posted?

I'm not familiar with this site so this could be useful in the future. This issue just came up in another game as well so it would be good to stay informed.

The usual ratio is #scum : #townies. In this case I assume there are 3 scum and 10 townies which makes for 3/10 x 100 = 30% chance random chance of a slot being scum.

I won't be around a lot this weekend. I'll try to keep up but fortunately so far it's only been
another
drawn out argument about something I have no desire to be apart of.

@Slandaar you say my vote on Moon is terrible despite him providing fishy reasoning to justify his vote. Explain.

I am unclear on how failed math is fishy perhaps you can explain that to me. Is his reasoning good? no. Is his reasoning suspicious? no.

That isn't right. The chance a slot is scum is ~ 23% assuming 3 scum.

I only look for scum, I don't bother building a town case for myself. If you check my posts, you can see for yourself whether or not you will find this a town approach.

People who try real hard to show they're town, will often end up being scum. So if you're only going to talk about yourself, I will be very interested in lynching you.

I see. You're awfully forgiving when a player is voting another player for reasons that don't compute. That's pretty anti-town.

Maybe if you tried to explain why his reasoning is fishy instead of telling me how forgiving I am you could convince me otherwise.

Moon says that a player replacing out makes the slot more likely to be scum than the random percentage (obviously ~23%, my mistake). Somehow he concludes with 50+% certainty that I must be scum. What are you doing about it? Calling me terrible for calling him out.

OK I will actually read or replace out soon and let someone who wants to read replace in.

I don't get what people don't get about my concern with ricastle's instant townread on boon, or the ensuing (and relational) townread on boon.

Real talk to the people with almost 50 or almost 90(!) as of this moment posts. Chill. Don't post 3x or 4x or more times the other players. Games don't need to be 80-100 pages long, and you don't need an entire page to suss out your feelings on things you can do that in
one post
. Use browser tabs or something.

Hey OhGod can I get your opinion on something?

Moon who has been lounging his vote on my slot for some time now posts this
In post 414, BlueMoonRising wrote:Oh please, your math is wrong and I'm scum.

*sigh*

If wagons that replaced out were scum exactly 50% of the time(hypothetically), and players are scum exactly 33% of the time(hypothetically), I'm not mathetmatician but to me that means there's a greater than 50% chance of a player replacing out being scum. If you can use any methodology to point to someone being scum half the time or greater than you should lynch, in my opinion.

Then I post this

In post 445, FakedBlogger wrote:

Gonna vote Moon for his failed math and unsound reasons to vote for confirmed town (from my perspective)

VOTE: Moon

Surprisingly Slandaar has this to say about it:
In post 450, Slandaar wrote:
In post 445, FakedBlogger wrote:Gonna vote Moon for his failed math

Terrible.

..And Diego seems to passively approve of it by parading his townread on him here:
In post 455, Diego1487 wrote:Slandaar is my only town read at the moment.

Now Slandaar is unsure why I'm calling Moon's reasons bad. What's going on ?
Why is this happening?
Can you give me your feedback about this? Is Moon VI and Slandaar abusing it while Diego just fails see it? Is Moon scum and Slandaar is not paying attention and Diego taking advantage of it to back Moon by backing Slandaar who calls me terrible for calling Moon's reason to vote (which should be an important factor about one's play) terrible?

Helllo/???IOOOOOiiuuiol?!!! WHat's going ON?!

Well, Moon is revealed to be Monkey, right? So he is a VI sometimes...

Of everything you just quoted Slandaar is the one that turns my stomach. Le straw man, he did set it up to knock it down. The operative words of the post he clipped were left out. Diego's townread is weird in the vacuum of your post but I need more data.

He said hypothetically to the 50% it is not the number he actually believes. I see no reason he can't think, as town, that scum replace out a higher % than town.
