Does anyone besides me think that this reason to vote sucks? It would have been fine in RVS, but by this point it reeks of an excuse. Even though I talked a bit about flavor myself, I agree that it's not something worth dwelling on. Then there is post #169, where I again agree with Varsoon. And as of post #368, this reason is still the best he can come up with?

For the record, I believe Varsoon is town. His thoughts coincide with mine so much that I believe they come from a town perspective, and the way he changes his mind and his vote freely also seems town. I'd expect scum to be more conservative and cautious.

However, I'm glad this brought my attention back to that post of yours, because it actually provides what I think is the best reason for the Focus Beam wagon. (That being FB's trappy, bring-your-own-strawman come-on in 81.) That doesn't necessarily account for the traction that wagon gained, since I don't think anyone else on the wagon seemed to acknowledge that rationale, but I'm at least a little more clued in on that front now.

Varsoon also "confirms" Mastin as scum in 200, returns our attention to her alleged failure to back up her reads in 270, and says he's willing to put money on scum between Mastin and Focus Beam in 272. What I'm getting at is that when I picture the Focus Beam wagon rolling by, Varsoon is the guy in the back row with his hood up.

I love Feysal, if only because he seems to be someone who gets it and isn't losing their shit over null tells and pedantic rubbish.
I'd like to back Feysal on the Free Stool Sample wagon, but I actually think Stool Sample's reasons for voting me aren't bad, just wrong.
But I really like one of mastin/FocusBeam for scum, and I really wanna push FocusBeam out because FocusBeam is just gonna get away anti-town and tunneling me for the rest of the game at this rate. Not cool, y'know.

Despite how much people have come out of the woodwork to be all "LOOK AT HOW FAST THIS FASTWAGON HAS NO RESISTANCE" in regards to Focus Beam, they're neglecting that the wagon has stalled out for the last ten pages and lost traction.

It really bugs me that Free Stool is building this narrative of " Varsoon is the guy in the back row with his hood up" while also acknowledging that there are worthwhile reasons for wagoning Focus Beam.

Basically, you guys had ten pages of posts while I was gone and not much happened and why haven't I or FocusBeam been lynched yet holy crap
