Just a clarification: I never said a VT's goal should be to LOOK town. I said they should be pro-town, scumhunt, find and lynch the scum. Looking town comes naturally with that. The main thing is, all VTs without exception should be playing their hardest to find scum. Purposefully playing anti-town to avoid a nightkill results in a player that's difficult to read and hasn't done much scumhunting at all ending up in endgame; in this setup, that's true of both town and scum.
Reading through gameplay's ISO. There are times when he neglects the game and doesn't scumhunt, but when he DOES scumhunt, it looks genuine. However, that doesn't mean all that much since the scum also have scum to look for. I feel like regardless of alignment, gameplay believed Mist was scum in his push on her. Part of this makes me want to believe he killed Mist? But that would also require Wanderer going along with a Mist kill.
@hayato/Firebringer
, have either of you played in a game with Wanderer-scum before?
Post #319 is a bit of a scum lean IMO:
In post 319, gameplay506 wrote:I usually hate to give really solid scum reads early on but right now I am feeling both Cow and Mist are scum. Even on the same team lol, kinda...
This makes me think gameplay could have been hunting for a single team and thought he was confident in Cow and Mist being Ice. But that's not very strong reasoning.
In Post #374 he insults Wanderer without implying a read on her one way or another. Scum lean there. Does the same sort of non-reading interaction in #523.
The rest of his ISO is tunneling on Cow, his scumread after Mist, while ignoring most everything else.
So really I get a scum read on gameplay after a read-through. :/
hayato, can I hear your thoughts?
