Supporter though I am of protection of Christian beliefs, it would make me feel vaguely unwell if someone like Cruz, who believes in creation, got into the White House. He seems like a great guy, but I don't think I could back that.

sorry guys I hate Christians and their beliefs down with that sort of thing

I agree with this.
Here's the thing. People should believe what they want to believe in. That's totally cool. If someone told me they would force all Americans to believe in evolution, I would not want them to be elected, even though I MYSELF believe in evolution. At the same time though, I feel as if a president who has a very strong belief in one religion or one specific way of life like that is probably going to run that country as if that is the only correct way of thinking.
Basically, I'm saying that that last question about "does god send you messages" and some of those answers really alienated me from some of them, and I'm pretty religious myself.
I have no problem with religious beliefs, even ones that I disagree with the premise of their belief strongly. I have a lot of problem with hypocrites and irrational people.
For an example of what I mean, look at two people who believe that marriage is between a man and a woman: Rev. Huckabee and Gov. Kasich and tell me who 1. respects the rule of law and 2. takes the other tenets of their faith, such as compassion for others, to heart.
Official Gimmick List:
INVENTOR OF UPICK!
LORD OF THE 11TH HOUR!
ASEXUAL!
KING SCAR APOLOGIST!
DREAMER OF THE NE0N DREAM (SUPP 2021 LAST PLACE WINNER)!
The difference is that Huckabee should be allowed to believe in whatever kind of marriage he wants, but he shouldn't be allowed to force that belief on an entire country. Laws should be made for safety and protective purposes only, and gay marriage isnt going to anyone in danger.

I agree that the debates would be incredibly banterous, but as someone from outside the US, I highly doubt this is the sort of argument you guys want broadcasting to the rest of the world for so many weeks.
I think Paul vs Sanders would be an interesting race.
I only know as much as I get from my twitter feed from certain US news sources, and one in particular (Bloomberg) likes reminding folks Jeb Bush is by far the most realistic GOP nominee. I wonder, do Americans see Clinton vs Bush as the virtually certain race and everything else is just a distraction? Or...?
Sometimes I see the name of this thread as "2016 U.S. Monkey Election Thread" because of OP, and then I think, wow that's also not that far from being accurate

Out of all those people, I'd vote for both those people over Hillary Clinton.
I've lived through 8 years of a Clinton in the White House, and I've lived through 8 years of W Bush in the White House.
Believe me when I say that if it does come down to Clinton v Bush, I am going to have absolutely no trouble voting Clinton. That might be the easiest choice I've ever made. Hell, I'd probably get out and volunteer for her campaign.
I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie
