Btw I'm having mixed feelings about kitty g at the moment. When she participates I like what she has to say.

But my experience with her was similar to this. She said good things while here and lurked like crazy. And she was totally scum.

Alright, I can see this now. This was not the sort of thing I was looking for when reading his iso.

I'm not sure how my available time varying day to day (and hour to hour) became scummy.

Lots of time -> strong reasoning. Early post -> weak reads.

254 = Relatively strong read based on weak reasoning.

. So time enough to notice the badness and vote it, not time enough to write a small dissertation.

Now, I asked why varying amounts of time to play is scummy. I think having strong reads at post 167 in any game is scummy most of the time. At that point in the game,

reads should be weak

and the scummy players are the ones who have strong reads and/or don't take the time to explain. My early game reads are always weak. But I give what reasons I have, when I have time -- that's how I play.

davesaz: Your 167 was literally a post giving reasonings for why people shouldn't be null, but are null anyway. Your 254 was a stronger read than any of that off something that had significantly less thought put into it.

I find it really hard to believe that it's based solely on the amount of time you play since you basically vote based on your 167s and don't based on your 254s. It actually looks even more fake that you assumed I was only talking about the two specific posts I mentioned since I originally stated that it was applying the concept to your entire ISO.
