We're probably going to be taking on the spider today, we should go in with a plan. (Who2 described the encounter in intricate detail to Who3, so this isn't metagaming)

We have to deal with the spider and the mummies. The spider is a fan of cutting off our escape, and also has tremorsense so invisibility won't help against it. Also it can anchor people and make them visible.

So, it restricts both invisibility and mobility.

We should stay at the entrance in a group, meatshields in the front, casters in the back. The spider is large so we get LoS at it even if we're behind people. Clerics and meatshields focus on dealing with the undead, Caled focus on healing, Brian and I can focus on killing the spider. If they refuse to animate until we're deeper into the chamber, we destroy the mummies one by one before they animate. (That's possible, right? It should be possible) If the spider stays back and lets the mummies handle us, we kill them first then take on the spider. If they all retreat to deep into the chamber then we go forwards, staying as a group, not letting them get behind us. If they try to get us so far that they can flank us, we refuse to go that far. As far as we know, they lack ranged weapons besides the spider's damageless anchoring webs, whereas we have magic missiles, scorching rays, and eldritch blasts, so they'll lose a ranged fight. Therefore, they'll keep it melee, attack us, and we'll be able to maintain a defensive line near the entrance.

Also, we should ask Dr. K if he knows anything about Tomb Spiders and the mummies. They might have abilities we don't know about.

PCs traveled down the sewers yet again. They ran into some rabid ratfolks, but they proved to be no trouble.

They finally descended into the resurfaced tomb, of which claimed so many lives...

And emerged victorious!!! Mummies went down under repeated physical assault and magical fire, while Who3 kept his focus on the spider boss.

Things were looking grim when Caled, their healer, went down, and the frontline got locked down via webs. But Edgar's god finally answered Edgar's prayers, and a single good turn dusted the entire room, and left no undeads alive.

The spider flanked around, but it was already worn down heavily by Who3's spells. Mo"ak charged raging up the stairs and delivered a powerful blow, and then Who3 finished it off with his magic missiles.

The PCs returned to Dr. K with their loot, but they discovered a tragedy in the sewers.

It appears that wererats are dying en masse......
