Take a look, for example, at Garmr's vote. It's bad, but at least it helps people read him and learn his alignment. If you're town, you want us to learn your alignment. If you're scum, you absolutely don't. So which role does your play benefit more? You guessed it! Scum! If you're scum go ahead and continue to not vote as we only really want town votes anyway, makes it easier to lynch scum day 1.

@ICE: You call 3 scumreads but you're still voting garmr. Are you still behind this vote? Do you plan on changing it soon to reflect your scumreads better? 101 feels like town-frustration to me, 103 takes a bit away from that. Ofc players are gonna push each others buttons. It's one way of scumhunting and the way people respond can be more telling than the actual words they use.

70 looks more like a town-Firebringer to me, and also his posts after that.

I'm really not liking Archmage. Pops in here and there with newb-questions and also not providing content. I also have a hard time believing he never ran into terms like AtE in his previous games, but I'm too lazy to actually check that.

I don't know how to feel about Diego's last post. I don't agree, but I can believe he sees it that way. What my issue is with it mostly is that he doesn't respond to anything else that's happened so far and just seems to be tunnelling ICE. I think town is more likely to tunnel, I definitely want to see more from Diego.
Diego, do you have more reads besides ICE? Have you developed townreads?

I've played plenty of mafia before, but not on Mafiascum—Mafiascum has its own internal lingo and its own internal meta that's hard to keep track of, though I feel like I'm starting to get a handle on the meta. This is my... I think my third game on Mafiascum? I played a Newbie game, and one other. I also joined a large game, but replaced out fairly quickly as I couldn't keep up with the sheer volume of posting.

I've always been really terrible on Day 1, which is something I've been trying to nail down. Analysis on the first day, where information is scarce, is tricky for me. Most analysis on Day 1 seems to be based on meta, or reads on the particular poster from past knowledge of that poster. I don't have the later, and meta has never, ever sat well with me. I always have hated guessing things based on the metagame, because its in constant flux and has no sense of cohesiveness. It seems like any analysis at this stage is more or less guesswork. I suppose it makes sense—your guesswork makes a base for others to make guesswork off of you, and then somewhere in the process the scum is exposed.

Mostly, my expectation coming into any given game of mafia is to have fun losing.

I understand this feeling from my first few games of Mafia. Day 1 can be tricky, which is why I try my best to separate obv town from iffy players.
