I will not lie to you. I lack the talent of figuring out from people posting what kind of role they have. So while I envy this skill in others, I cannot see it well myself. So my opinion means little, however, I do not see how he is rolefishing. I think there is little information to be gained from those opening posts nor can I see how Jeanne would end up in a pickle where she would be forced to crumb. Although, it might have been to test the water.

It is actually my usual. It drives Vyse crazy, haha. When I put a lot of effort into something or I have time to reason things out, typically I tend to drain all the emotion from my posts but the more involved I get the more it bleeds.

Actually, at the mention of Fire Emblem;
The second and fifth games feature a mass warfare system most similar to Fire Emblem's, but every Suikoden game does feature warfare.
In the first game, it took place in a single screen and did not feature moving troops as far as I recall.
The second game had a grid for the battle map and units made up of your heroes that could skirmish.
The third game featured a system of connected locations you could fight between, but was the least involved, in my opinion.
The fourth game took the fight to the seas where you would do naval combat on a grid.
The fifth game returned to the style of the second.

Most of the game's play is done in jrpg-style combat, similar to early Breath of Fire games.
