Dido accepts the Trojan refugees, and Aeneas recalls what had happened to them since the fall of Troy. Despite Aeneas saying that the prophecy says he has a wife waiting for him in Italy, Dido falls in love with him anyways, and they bone. When Aeneas leaves, Dido kills herself. A ton of shit happens, the Trojans end up at war with the Latins, led by Latinus. Latinus wants to sue for peace (and marry his daughter to Aeneas), but Turnus convinces the Latins to keep fighting. Aeneas kills Turnus, thereby fulfilling his fate of securing the Roman race.
