I was hoping I'd get them before NYE since I wanted to get some kind of gathering for the mafia movie, but that looks unlikely at this point.

I just want a deck I can use to play with mates and another I can give to someone as a gift. Time and situations are passing me by where I'd love to play face to face mafia with a random deck to hand cards out of.

I'm sure I'm offending everyone's sensibilities here but 9 months is a ridiculous amount of time to wait Mith, man.

I really love the idea and I want it in my hands :'( :'(

Like, I don't know if the cards could've been given to the printing company while preorders were being taken? Or if the printers are so strict as to not test print until they get a definite number of preorders?

I guess you don't necessarily get custom decks of cards printed everyday so it's a learning process.
